How GAAs resist to mg fire now? I did not have time to test them yet.
The two il2's who met my Beaufighter melted away quickly in combined mg and canon fire, but of course everything supposed to die from less than 200 meters range who eat a two second burst from those, so its no proof.
On the other hand, AG ordenance from the Beau worked fine, taking out close paired GTs on one bomb or two rockets, which are finally do cost 400 credits.

I concur, GAA are useless as usual. All you do is provide frags for the enemy team, even the smallest fighter can take you out in one pass, and my 20mm rear gunner doesn't do shit.

Your 20mm gunner is not bad actually (especially after you grind out the perks) but unfortunately he doesn't have the time to do serious damage as your GAA dies in 1-2 passes from an enemy fighter/HF.

More than that... I fired a series of short 45mm bursts until overheating into another Il-8 from 6'o clock from about 500 meters, in sniper mode and did no damage.
I am not a good marksman, but that is ridicoulus.
So even your front guns are useless.

Yes, the disperzion on those guns is just ridicilous. You can now get owned in a head on by a light fighter.

So nothing new on the western frontier... Sad to hear.

It is sad, that in 0.5.2. GAA were both dangerous and easy prey - one had to pick attack vector cautiously and they went down easily (subject to players' skill), but otherwise they were able to defend themselves or at least last long enough to get some help.

Not now - even thought rear gunners DID receive a much needed boost.

Been a while since I played, and a while since I was on forum.

Took a few flights these past few days and..... Been taking a lot of Heavy Fighter instakills... Loaded up a Bf-110, took to the skies....Oops. this "auto-aim" thing just makes Heavy Fighter Roflstomping a bit too easy. Do not like.

Autoaim is now on the same level as before the big fail, so it seems only to be more optical visible...
I guess what baffles you more is the increased damage for everybody and his mother!

WG...fixing stuff that isn´t broken since 2011!

Yes, maybe that is it MXDoener.
After such a break it is normal that I may require a few flights before I start to feel comfortable in the skies. Also, a few weeks is more than enough time for lots of other pilots to gain enough skill to make things interesting up there...
However, I do seem to be taking a LOT more damage than ever before. :-/

Nope, in 0.5.2, when firing upwards was almost impossible (well, doing damage, to be exact) and firing downwards got a much greater damage
bonus were HFs shining.
