Hey, I asked yesterday to join the global alpha, but i hadn't get an E-Mail, yet.
Do you know, how much time they need to accept my inquiry?

From what I understand they have recieved [alot] of Applications so it may take some time to sort through them all. Just be patient, it took me a while to get into Alpha after I sent my app.

As expected there is quite some hype for this game at the moment (rightly so), and everyone has just been given a chance at a slot into the game, now loads of people are wanting to get in so Wargaming are going to receive many many applications into the test, so logically it's going to take sometime for them to get through the applications and stamp a yes/no on them.

I personally think we wont get an e-mail until next week.

How long did you wait? I waiting now for 4 days...and still nothing...when they launched that officialy...them must accept a lot of aplications...right? So, some "external" workers can do that...cause i think they want to make a "stress" test for their servers....this isnt crying...its only idea ;-) no offence to developers or other guys. Still looking forward to join alpha test.

I can only assume that the probability of you getting picked is increased or decreased depending on your answers in their questionnaire.

I waited a week but this was in October 2011 when I first signed up. This is not my original account. My original is "Senior Alpha Test Veteran" under the same name with 400 post so I am not one of the new Alpha Testers from the GAT. I have been around since October and it took me a week but there were some issues, most people got in after a few days back then if their app was okay.

I would expect about a week of wait due to the sheer bulk of application they have recieved.

The questionare the GAT applications have to do is different to the one that I had to do in October (I wrote the one you're doing now). Back in October the questionare didn't have as much importance but I think it will be very important now due to the amount of apps, to ask everyone to write a long app and post it would be a bad idea due to how many people there are so make sure to answer the questionare with your true opinion. It will increase your chance to get in and stay in.

How would they know who is answering with his true opinion and who just used Google for the questions and picked the other answers to make himself look as good as possible?

Not all the questions are ones you can just google. I mean mainly for the ones that are asking your opinion.

If you don't get an answer in the next 2-3 weeks it's time to worry :)
