Pilots and Commanders!

As part of our Wargaming Universe Month, we invite you to submit a video combining your own in-game footage from World of Tanks and World of Warplanes, with the theme of team coordination and communication. The more dramatic and action packed, the better!

Dates

This contest runs from January 2to midnight on January 30.

Prizes: What’s in it for you?

In fitting with the other special Wargaming Universe Month contests, this contest awards points instead of gold or bonus codes. Remember, points are the currency for this special month: they’re valuable! Check out the main article to find more details about points.

We will award three groups of prizes:

1st

The top 7 players will receive this prize:

800 points for the creator

200 points for each participant, maximum of 4

2nd

The next 70 players will receive this prize:

500 points for the creator

125 points for each participant, maximum of 4

3rd

The next 140 players will receive this prize:

300 points for the creator

75 points for each participant, maximum of 4

Video Specifications

To be a valid entry, the video:

·         Must be no longer than 3 minutes, but longer than 1 minute.

·         Must clearly contain footage from both World of Tanks and World of Warplanes.

·         Must only contain sound or music obtained from World of Tanks or World of Warplanes.

·         Must clearly show the username of the creator in-game.

·         Must likewise clearly show the username of any participants in-game, for them to be considered for the participant point award.

·         Must be uploaded to YouTube or Vimeo and of course comply with their rules and guidelines.

o   If you have issues with YouTube’s recent policy changes, please check this post.

How to Submit your Video

Please check out the Video Specifications above and if you everything looks fine and you are ready to submit your video, please reply to this thread. Note that while the contest is running, submissions will be hidden until the contest is over.

  • The winners will be chosen in a vote of the EU Community Team and will be determined by how many individual votes an entry accumulates.
  • Only one entry per person is allowed. In case a person makes multiple entries, only the most recent entry will be accepted.
  • This competition is open to all players with a valid Wargaming-account. If you are under the age of 18, you must obtain parental or guardian permission to enter the competition.
  • By entering the contest you:
    • Agree that your submission can be published and used by Wargaming.net.
    • Agree not to submit copyrighted material or materials that have been previously published on the internet or are against Wargaming rules or policies.
    • Confirm that you are the author of the content/material that you submit.

If you have any questions, please just ask them here in this thread.

Good luck everyone!

I have some questions,
Are we allowed to edit the video in some ways, like, can we mix up a lot of interesting action packed scenes ( Like RNG but action ! ),
Can we edit in our name so it's clearly visable,
Can we do other type of video editing or should it be only a recording of a replay game?  Any kind of editing?
Can we upload several videos?
Does the video length affect it's judging on the score table ?
Does the video quality affect it's judging on the score table (480p 720p 1080p...)?

You need to specify the rules more detailed !

Here s a question:

Can the creator of the video be a participat in someone else`s video?

You guys really have to be more specific, and explain the rules better.

Same thing is for the picture contest. You said only one plane or tank can be visible. My question is how to make a screenshot without your vehicle being seen from the screenshot point? (unless through scope) so basically both airplane and tank will have to be visible (because the rule says "your own work only", which means your screenshot on the map, no clear-map pictures downloaded.)

At the magnification just before the scope kicks in, your vehicle is invisible as the camera is too far forward for it to be in shot.

I should ask is footage from the 7/42 allowed and would it be OK for it to be just highlights from the game?

  • Yes of course you can edit it. The best videos will probably be well edited.
  • Your username must be clearly visible in the in-game UI.
  • What other types of video editing do you mean? Keep in mind the video should be WoT and WoWP footage.
  • As stated, only one entry per person is allowed. In case a person makes multiple entries, only the most recent entry will be accepted.
  • The video length  has no effect on judging or the final score. A good video will shine irrespective of length. Keep in mind the minimum and maximum length.
  • The quality would be more likely to affect the judging, as a low quality video (I mean really low quality) simply can't look as good as a higher quality one. Quality also might effect how clearly your username appears in the UI, so keep that in mind too. If we can't read it, it invalidates the entry.

No it is in-game footage only. Though we're sure you may be photogenic, for this contest we ask that you please keep it just to in-game footage. :teethhappy:

Valid entries must contain footage from both games. Also, they must be submitted to the correct place: here

It must be your in-game footage only.

You're welcome to try and stage the video if you like, as long as you project the theme of team communication and cooperation.  You can capture footage in random battles or training, whatever you feel is best to achieve a good result. :great:

Yes the rules allow this, as long as the two videos are significantly different enough.
