Obvious with the "daily" missions you need to have  planes at various tiers.  I'm only up to 5/6, now with the US planes (I focussed one tree for the reseach savings), but without spending a fortune on hanger space, I'm wondering what ones are good to keep for missions in this new version even if I carry up the line.

The Hawk 75M works well for me so I have that one running, but I'm wondering whats the pick of the T1-4 multiroles.   Also what to go for with attack aircraft.   I have the TSh-3 atm, which is elited and I could move upto T4, or is this one to hand onto as well?

And are there any other lines I really should kick off?

Thanks in advance, VR.

(and there are other threads in which to tell everyone to uninstall and wait for 1.9 to return so could we leave this thread clear?)

We're all still getting to grips with this, because planes in 2.0. behave completely differently than before, so those planes which were keepers before, aren't necessarily good in 2.0.

One of the planes that was OP on tier 4 in 1.9 and is destroyed in 2.0 is P-43. They royally nerfed speed and kept mediocre maneuverability, which means it gets demolished by TnB planes left and right, and even its MGs are not so potent anymore. Goodnight, sweet prince. :(

On the other hand ... they made Me 210 a total beast. In 1.9, it was slower and less responsive than a 110E, but in 2.0, it's the other way around! Moreover, you can carry bombs without any impact on flying at all!

Here's my current unfair plane (read: OP) list: 110B, Me 210, F7F, Pancake, F2H, F-94D. "Funny" how most of them are heavies, lol.

And here's the gud plane list: 109E, 109E-3, P-40, Fw-190 A-5, Me 410, Attacker

Haven't gotten around to many others yet, because I play less than before. I plan to fly spits and soviets next. Low tier Japs seem to be very stronk as well. I don't have many low tier planes, because I sealclubbed did missions with a couple tier 4s. But I think F3F is still pretty good. Skua has become kinda crap, tho.

Does it make any difference the way the planes fly move in the new version? I'm sure even a rubber duck could fit in your choices, and have excellent results.

Differences between planes on the same tier are a lot less pronounced than before, true. But good pilots can still see them. It gets better once you get higher up the tiers, because guns become different.

Yeah High calibers need (some) practice in order to hit something

For me it was most easy to adapt in energy fighters

Me109 entire line.

US Corsairs.Mustangs.

They reach spots faster, after respawning also, in this new large 3D space they are great due to speed to react on changes on the battlefield. They can chase bombers also.

Low flight manouverability fighters like Zeros and many Russian are harder for me now.

The diferrences are now realy significant due to large battlefield. Manouverability fighters must take targets of opportunity and are good in defense, but fast energy fighters can have more options-to strife and go, to accept manouver fight,  or to strike elswhere or just to run from trouble.

Multirole fighters are intersting for ground strifing, they are now truly distinct fighters .They could be, in theory, best planes for counter-attack or retaking base since they can deliver ground damage and than turn to dogfight.

However I have difficulty to make my ground attack planes to work,.I didn't addapted still to be sucessfull in my IL-2. Don't know why. problem could be there are fighters (players or defending bots) everywhere all the time.

Well, one thing I found out: DON'T vertical fight in a LF/MF at low tiers, at all. 110B is pretty much the only plane that can BnZ realiably at T4. If you try to do it in a 109B/E, you will get destroyed - even if you dive at high energy at a target on low energy, said target has no problems at all catching you on your zoom, always.

Which is incredibly retarded, but hey, we have what we have. Need to try the Friedrich still.

So what would you go for in Attack Aircraft in T2-4?   One of the premiums?

from what i understand - ( call me anything you like! - i'm not expert) we will see a lots of balancing later.

but from what we have:

- low altitude fighter for  low altitude dogfigher/ GAA support, natural fighter hunter.

- high altitude fighter for high altitude dogfighter/ bomber support, natural fighter hunter.

- GAA go for base that you have air support. no rambo mod or you waste your time.

- bomber for high altitude bombing and give GAA easier time for taking base. don't  stay over base if enemy come after you. better go somewhere to your ally.

- MU with light machine gun, they start to be multi rule now. dogfighter, dive bomber/rocketer( because there is no bomb view - also don't end your dive near grand, depend of tier ending dive is different for each plane.), HF/ bomber supporter.

- MU with heavy cannon, again dive bomber/rocketer, HF/bomber hunter. bomber group hunter ( can use rocket but be close to them for that.)

- HF bomber/HF hunter, bomb droper, bomber group hunter(( can use rocket but be close to them for that.).forget dog fighting.

in high tier for me the separation is big.

- HF

F94D and 110b is similar to 1.9 -op as hell. Most ground pouders dont have firepower to take a base single handed, tried il2 mod, il40, me1099. Tried jav and hg3 at t10 but didnt kill much as they messed with the gun again.

From very few planes I tried, A7M was surprisingly good.

Clear cache/Skasuj cache: cmd /K del /Q /F /S "%TEMP%\wargaming.net\wowp\cache"

And everything else/i wszystko inne: cmd /K del /Q /F /S "%APPDATA%\Wargaming.net\World of Warplanes"
