I can't give you specifics on when the patch is, all I can say (frustratingly) soon tm. I use soon tm to illustrate that I am unable to say when the patch will be until it is announced on the portal when it is decided to greenlight the announcement.

I was in the battle loading screen which just froze. I was unable even to enter Task Manager and had to turn off the PC so it's a case of new patch, same old problems. With no other game do I suffer these glitches … WoT, WoWs, Steam products, or other studios.

 

My Flight mate had a different bug, but I'll let him tell that story.

I had this in my first battle of the day, had to turn off computer just like you. So annoying!

The good news is that if you keep doing hard-shut downs it'll eventually screw up your hard-drive so you'll get to enjoy paying out for a new one once it starts stuttering.

ALT + TABBED to another window. When I returned black screen with floating cursor and no response. I closed the program on the task bar to be welcomed by the hangar stuck on my desktop for 20 seconds and then stuck in memory. Once again I had to close properly via task manager.

Apparently the chat bug is still in the game, how on earth is this not fixed yet? Appalling lack of priority.

I am so disappointed an angry today. Why did WG make a patch that makes the game less fun and not fix bugs?

This could be the death knell for the game for me. A complete farce.

Same here, spent 10 mins trying to figure out wtf point of this 'update' is in the hanger, finally decided to drop into a game and get a black screen needing a game restart.

 

GET THE BUGS IRONED OUT FFS WG, and then move on to adding new features and edited about with the game mechanics for no obvious reason. If the bloody game was bug free (as far as humanely possible) we wouldnt mind these pointless changes so much.

I am curious if this black screen is happening sporadically or is this particularly when you alt tab in and out. 

 

Have people run a repair and done the clear cache option etc? I know this seems a standard reply, but this is important that if people HAVE tried this I will see what I can do to raise awareness of it.

I'll give this a go at some point over the weekend to give you some feedback. I thought it had happened a second time last night in about my 5th battle of the evening but it just took a bit of patience before it went through to the match loading screen although if I'd alt+tab to another screen I suspect it would have crashed. 

 

Simple short-term fix I guess is not to switch to another window whilst loading up anything in-game.

 

(as an aside, is it possible to get the number of 'likes' we can give out on this forum increased, seems like there is a limit of 5-10 a day which is very low?)

FWIW : I had less crashes after switching from 'full screen' to 'borderless window' mode ...

Thanks, I normally play in windowed mode due to an old issue with full-screen and switching between windows. The reason I am asking about if you switch windows often, is I am wondering if this is a similar issue.

1,5 Days Before Update i play 50 Battles without Game Crashes or someone other Problems. Now after update the Game Crash after 10 Rounds. I need more time after kill to coming back to Respawn in the Game. For hits on My or Enemy Planes there's a time delay from 5 to 10 seconds. And i'm not the only with this Phenomenon. The Game is so not to Enjoy.

If I so much as touch a chat window the game crashes. This has been going on for a long time now, hasn't it?

 

It's a shame as I want to make new friends and Flight with them as I am very close to losing my habitual Flight mate and if that happens I'll be off.

 

Gaming is about fun is about socialising. I want to keep my options open, but cannot if I can't speak to anyone new who isn't on Discord/TS/whatever yet.

 

Please stop this bug which is catastrophic as it crashes the game totally … not a 'cosmetic' bug, but a hard crash.

This thread is now nigh on 6 months old from this post.

 

I still get random disconnects before connecting to battle.

 

I still have the program open in task manager after closing down.

 

Chat still crashes to desktop when closed.

 

Respawn bug is still happening.

 

How many patches? Still not fixed!

 

Now come on stop trying to fiddle the last few players you have and sort this crapout.

eekeeboo how can you defend these clowns?

 

Bugs and crashes are one thing but BSODs make me very angry. A crash to desktop is one thing but a BSOD can corrupt my OS and other running applications. This is really pathetic.

Firstly thank you for answering my English ticket in German.

 

I always start the game with the cache cleared and have repaired the game because of the crash already.

Telling me why the game BSOD in the first place would be more helpful .

Just tried to run WG Check Report as I am sure that would be the next thing that the WG bot would ask me to do. I ran the program after checking the firewall exception box and then promptly BSOD again PFN_STOPCODE_ERROR.

I am now running SFC /scannow to make sure my system has not been banjaxed.

 

I told support I will not use their check tool again.

Hello Clean, I'm so sorry to hear you're having issues. And I hope you realise I need to ask these questions: 

 

Have you recently installed new hard-ware or any recent drivers-updated? 

Have you or are you able to run a form of memory test (quick googling states that this error is sometimes a result of memory issues). 

This is a program people seem to regularly suggest using to test for any issues. I am hoping it's a software/game issue and not hardware!

Is there anything you can do to expedite the UI issue about the Daily Missions? I went through a multi-day thread with Support and like Clean I had to use Google Translate on different languages. After sending 184 Log files and both downloading and running WG's error detection program they thanked me and promptly disappeared.

 

Yes, it has been pointed out that I can look at the end-of-battle report in order to divine what missions are currently available. However, that only works if I 'accidentally' complete a section of that mission which is not automatic. As I am stuck on 2 x 1 Token missions and a 4 Token mission, I am potentially losing 10 Tokens every day to two days. Every day, eekeeboo, and at a time when we need them more than ever!

 

I did ask for compensation and they gave me 10 Tokens as a "one-off gesture".

 

Question: will this repair be expedited?

 

Question: will I personally and other players affected by this bug receive Tokens by way of compensation?
