Hello everyone! So since i kinda enjoy playing the game in my free time i've managed to hit the tier 5 on all nations including all tier 6 researched (except P-38 and Beaufighter almost done with them as well ).So the big question is....where to? i need a good strong line to hit the tier 8 before i start to playing a lot of tier 6.So far i have the La5 and the Tornado both are pretty good. But what are the better options?Thank you in advance !

It depends on what you prefer. At tier 8 the american heavy line has one of the best planes tier for tier of the game, and to be honest all the planes in that line are at least "good enough" with the tier 10 being really good if you like the energy tactics style.

On the other hand, Spitfires are always a safe bet, due to their top manouverability, speed, firepower and defensive performance.

But if you prefer to chill out you can always follow the Ground attack lines or the brit heavy line, which is more of a fighter bomber than a heavy fighter.

It all depends on your tastes. For me it was the P51H, but I won't recommend that line to new guys, since it is quite hard to shine with them.

Guess it depends on what you're going for, I'm playing this like WoT, a bit of everything, this has worked well so far, as different events need different aircraft, like the Skies of Albion,  rockets and bombs are useful, other events, you need pure fighters etc. Also events are often country focused, like the Allies and Axis, plenty of events have been one or two country only.  This also goes for the daily missions, which are often type specific.

I've got a few Tier 6 from US, Germany &  GB, and it's the move from 6 to 7 and above which cost a lot in XP, up to tier V, you can play a couple of game, and level up, after 6, it starts to become a grind.

There is nothing wrong with La 160 and La 15.

Take Spitfires (or Lavoschkins) and Ilyushins. So Spitfire XIV or La 9 and IL 20.

Except altitude, speed and firepower.

In general - waste of time. La-160 will develop itself, since La-9 is good.

Well, the BV were a very nice surprise, with the rockets (you can easily make a rocketeer per game).

The Me P1092 and the following are just straight up OP, but i really didn't like the previous planes.

The mig line is very nice too, and the russian multirole is very interesting, but a bit hard to master (the tier IX being the weak link).

The corsair, are nice and the F-94D is really fun (but a long grind to get the vulcain) with great rockets to kill humans or heavy bots, but the tier X isn't that great anymore.

Unless you really like the GAAs, i would advise you against going at them, the grind is really longer than with other lines.

I would also advise against the brit heavies, the 30mm ADEN are messed up and i think, simply bugged, in regard to muzzle velocity. Same goes for the swift.

Japs are nice if you can adapt to the low damage of the Ki at high tier (low acc, high heating rate) or the slowliness of the J7W.

At high tier, the yaks become the most nimble (instead of the japs) with not-so-bad guns.

And don't forget that two different players can have completely different experience with same plane. Until you try  it for yourself, you can't know is line is good for you (and sometimes you don't really know even if you try it).

Absolutely. My first line was the corsair, loved every plane in that line but my son tried it and hated them. He found the Spit line much more his thing. So yeah, it's really hard to know which ones you'll like until you fly them for yourself.

I really like the Yak-1m and Yak-3. For the moment I put the Spit line on hold ...

And the Ki and Zero are great.

(yes, I like turnfighters)

Enjoyed and kept the soviet Yak fighter (pretty agile and strong guns) and the german Mescherschit (more boom and zoom, also good guns) at tier 6.

Spitfire, Corsair and Mustang are pretty solid too, as are the Zero and the Focke Wulf.

In fact, apart from the second soviet fighter line (La line I think) I dont have any complaints from tier 6s.

Yak line becomes amazing at tier 8 and even better for tier 9 and 10. I suggest you do that first.

La-9 and up are all amazing planes too.

Spitfire sputter out at their higher tiers and are not impressive.

Il- GAA are fun at higher tiers but dont recommend as your first grind to tier 8 or 10.

And 30mm ADEN are bugged, i'm sure. They should have 805 velocity, i've the feeling it's more like 500.
