Its hard to say. In 1.9 Stuka was much better plane...

But here, I prefer Hs-129 but with bombs, not with that big cannon. The only big problem is lack of rear gunner... But that small calibre machine gun on Stuka is  not really big deal.

I would take Hs-129 just because of the bomb load.

They are not on 'good, better, best' scale.

Scale looks like Hs - sucks, Ju - meh, but at least has rear gunner.

I find the Stuka to be a much better plane in 2.0 than in 1.9. Dunno, it may be the slight autoaim of 2.0 after removal of ahead-target aimcircle but i hit a lot more aerial targets even sniping at long distances with the 30 cannons now , compared to before, when i couldnt hit crapregardless of distance and i was preffering the 20 mm cal guns. And as guys before me said, even if ifs not that big deal , that rear gunner give you that feeling that you have a chance, at least against those "broken wrist" newbies that cant hit crapunless its flying in straight line.

If youre looking for firepower only , go for He. But the moment someone pick you as target, even if he is 10 HP, youre dead meat.

I haven't tried the Hs, but I did kind of enjoy the Stuka. However, I feel the T6 Junkers 88 is better for her tier than the preceding 87. Play style is very similar.

The previous poster is right about the rear gunner giving you a "feeling of having a chance" rather than any actual chance. :-D

Your ability to defend yourself really gets better at the tier 7 and 8 planes. They are more agile and the rear guns are goid.

... but the good news is, the entire tree is quite enjoyable to play. Have fun.

Same with the Russian GA line ... I almost gave up after the Tsh-3, because the Bsh-2 and IL-2 don't have a rear-gunner. After grinding to the IL-2 (t) and even the IL-8 and IL-20 I started liking to fly GA again ;-) and on those tiers the reargunner actually does give you a chance with 20 and 23mm guns !

I'm also still on the Ju-87, should try the HS-129 or Ju-88 ...
