Had 2 games against it... low profile makes it a pain in the [edited]to nail if it's making a run for it. However, the 4*12mms still feel weak and i expect to see a lot of kills stolen by the bigger guns. Having to pick at the enemy health bar with those pee-shooters will take time, making it an easy target for another player unless reacting fast. Chasing bombers and Gaas will be a problem, fighting alone above a base will be problematic due to AAs. In terms of maneuvering looks good on paper, however if it gets into a turn war at lower speeds will be easy to engage on. Applying a heavy break while getting chased by a Goblin will most likely make it overshot.

With the package i was looking into, the 57Euros with the gold missions, at a first glance, we get a t9 premium (with a 9 points pilot) credits factory at the price of a t7 premium. Actually with the 6600 gold you get from those missions you can buy another t7 premium, something like the Meteor that prints credits just as well. Seems like the best way to get the 5 star rating will be to leach as many capture points possible in the capping progress and after that farm kills above an airfield.

Nice review.

Blue ammo seems to be must have due to insane amount of MGs.

No flaps means that FailJet may just pull off own and instantly get similar maneuverability.

Which leads to one fundamental flaw I've seen in these reviews - none shows a Goblin in battle with tiers IX and X, and how does it handle in such environment. Maybe in that Russian stream, but I have better things to do for 2 hours.

Don't forget the rules of acquisition

Do you have planes of that air force (crewtrainer)

Did you fight your way up the techtree to lv... (Insert level you want to buy)

Because you don't want to be the player who buys a Lowe after playing 10games in a loltracktor and cries that it's a bad tank and that the game is rigged

I enjoyed it before 2.0.5.

Now I don't know in which direction to tune it - any recommendations ?

Before 2.0.5 it was important to go not only for speed but also for maneuverability in case you meet another one. But now I don't know what to do. If you go for more Speed or maneuverability you will make yourself even more vulnerable and this is a problem in this plane.

Who cares that you lose survivability- you gain implicit survivability. If you know how to play the survivability of a fighter is all in the manoevrability & speed, not in how many shells it can catch

i have the Hunter so no, im not one of the grind skippers. as for the pilot nope, but i do have a p40(yea i know p40 is borderline op) so im familiar whit the mg playstyle. (aka get on the six and stay there cuz mg is all about dmg over time, not bursts)

In general I agree but the Goblin is very fragile. If you attack a human  RB-17 or GA that knows how to avoid you this becomes a serious problem. (not sure if it's still the same after 2.0.5, I didn't fly the Goblin anymore)

At T9 you have to deal with some rear guns with long range and hard punch, not comparable to other fragile turnfighters at midtier.

Sure. I dont play/ have the goblin, but i do have japanese and russian Yak fighters which both suffer from that to some extent.

But i also have the RB-17 and Il-20, so i know those tirrets work. I even shoot down heavies with them.

Avoiding that is more a matter of flight patterns && approaches than of survivability imo...
