The point of this patch was to create a new revenue stream, end of. I called it last night that salvage crates would go on sale. I was proved right they're up today. Squeeze the small player base before making the game work properly. Very poor business tactics.

I support 2.05 .I find it great.

In this 2 days I focussed on one my plane. Me 109 E-3 which  specialised , mounted improved engine and calibrated the engine , now I have 9% more engine thrust(power) and 6 % more speed.

It takes time, but hey now  I feel I am driving real Me109.

I like 2.05 it and support it.I think its original and people who made the patch used brains.

Id like to add another comment btw eekeeboo: FIX MY PREMIUMS. Really. Spitfire DB, IL 2 mod, Blenheim IV, F2A, I180-3- all of them are much worse than they used to be & i couldnt possibly bring them up to spec even if i spent all my tokens & a month time on it. 

WHY?!?

Looks like they are achieving the opposite ; I haven't seen a really positive comment on the new system on both forums and Reddit yet.

I already stopped playing premium on NA server and when my EU premium runs out, I won't buy new time. No gold, no premium planes either ... first experience yesterday evening really put me off.

Ensign_Steel has a good point - IF you make the salvage thing real-money-loot-box-only, you'll effectively kill the game. The EU server has maybe 1000 players online simultaneously during peak hours. Trying to "turn those players into payers" is a really bad business move - please reconsider before making it, in case you're planning to do so.

Trying to squeeze money out of people by giving payers an unfair advantage will leave you with only a fraction of your existing playerbase, and I'm mostly playing alongside 13 bots on my team already. The game was starting to get good, and I'm of pretty neutral opinion on the changes to the meta (although it's bullshit that you can't put the trio of fire extinguisher + medikit + engine restarter in as before, but people CAN get over that), but going for too aggressive monetization tactics will bite you in the [edited]in the long term, and with a game this size, you'll be left with less than 100 active users in less than three months if you do so now.

You were complaining in another thread about being preyed on by other players who appear to know that you are human and not a bot.

Now that you've 'specialised', in game you now have a big logo over your 'specialised' plane as you fly around which marks you out as human. Why is that OK, but a mod that marks out the bots is not?

This updated is a slap in the face for current players. There are so many open issues but instead of dealing with them something that was actually working gets changed. There was absolutely no need for that.
Some points from me:
1.  I have to choose between fire extinguisher and medpack - wtf ???? This is just stupid!
2. Reset setup and controls - why the hell ?
3. Selling old consumables and equipment can never compensate for the work and time that was destroyed with this patch.

 

One positive point: We can now tune our planes and have something new to do. But because of the way this was implemented you cannot count this in a positive way:
- There is practically no documentation about how this works. Yesterday I started the mission to improve my mid tier bombers but I realized too late that I can start this only once and have to finish it before I can do the same for other planes. I finihsed the missions but still don't know how to start this for other planes/other equipment.
- No protection anymore from flak and no way to improve bombing accuracy. I guess for other classes there are other issues to.


 

 

 

Now my two biggest issues with this patch:
1. you moved pay to win to a new level.
2. because of all this tuning you moved seal clubbing to a new level too.

This might kill the game for good.

Just because I have seen this pop up a few times. Would people be interested in me attempting to write up a guide on things like the replay system. The upgrade system etc?

Consider this proposal please.

 

Set the date when player has "specialised" his plane as the first day from which game will count for this plane as its birthday.

Planes specialisation is great thing and  very motivating, hands down, still, over time people will get tired of one plane, even if it is  most beloved and brought trough specialization on its maximum, people will want more, different, and eventually to improve their other planes to.. And over time players will again  have more and more specialised planes until specialisation became something normal.


Plane specialisation is great thing and I absolutely support it..

Now calibrate this game  and add that the date when some plane was specialised by the player becames its first date from which game will count as this planes "birthday" and apply the anniversary approach (plane birthday rewards) on to it as before as a permanent long standing motivating factor that will now act in sinergy with specialistation.

This is for the future that starts now, make strong foundation for future when players will have many specialised planes(if not all of them) to motivate them to have many planes  and re-visit them .

The more I see of the effects of this update, it seems it was made to make more money, not more players. Weird. They really need more players.

Too bad, I love war plane simulators. If anyone made one where you knew all compeeted on even terms, I'd love it, even if it was expensive. This "free to play" game looks good, but is more pay to win, like wot and wows, for eatch patch. I guess this is whats happening when marketing rules and devoted game makers just have to follow orders (or lose their job making simulator games).

 

Pls programmers and graphic designers and historical/factual/research folks, quit wargaming, and make a "buy once play on even terms without any items to make things perform better for money" shitty game.

For sure I'm interested since there is not much else available.

For example I found only here that replays go to C: - that's good to know...

Some other questions I have:

- What exactly is the difference between Calibrate and Enhance ? I can guess but I would like to know before I waste materiel. Can I endlessly enhance to get more boni and use calibrate to increase the bonus without increasing the malus too much ?

- I have now an Advanced Turret Gunsight and can change stock equipment into enhanced equipment by enhancing/calibrating it. Is the advanced version the fully tuned equipment ? Can I use this equipment only on this plane or also on others with the same slot and period ?

- It is good to know that you can refuse a calibration by calibrating again or by clicking on cancel (I think the materiel is lost) Is the same possible with enhancement ?

 

 

 

Edit: Such guides should have been done before the update, that's not really your job but thanks anyway :)

Thus update is crap. I stated my reasons already: it was done onlyfor milking money and it is a slap on the face of the player  base who supported this game during the years, especially of who grinded tens if not more than hundred planes. This game was already on the verge of death, now it is dead at all

We can never have to many tutorials. 

 

Considering new version: 

-Now I have to spend hours of grinding to get planes in same condition they were instantly in last version. Only ultimate equipment can consider upgrade in some sense to gear before it. 

-This will have effect that experienced player play only planes they are good with, or to say blandly with more overpower planes. 

-Experienced player who have all planes now can spend credits on consumables that increase chance to win. 

-Rookie players can't now enhance their stock planes with equipment, so they won't have planes that are more improved than bots. By nerfing equipment Perscha is buffing the bots. 

-Games have more bugs than before. 

-In one week they will improve premium planes that will became more powerful. That isn't necessary good thing.

Why do we have to grind premium planes? Its stupid. Just make them all specialised (only premiums). Like the Shooting Star in premium shop.

 

About replays system - There is 3rd person view only?

In the long run, the biggest problem with this patch is not being able to have both First Aid and Fire Extinguisher.

 

Think about it.

 

We will max out all the planes we really care about. In time, those who stay with the game will max them all. WG will fix the premium plane slots problem. Somehow we will overcome this totally-uncalled-for "refreshment" of the game. But the sheer idiocy of forcing us to choose "bleed or burn" is beyond me, and it can't be grinded out.

This is logical and paid for. Premium planes (tanks, ships) were always sold as fully researched, absolutely no need to research or open anything. That was strong selling point and we gave them real money on that premise.

 

Exactly like the Shooting Star now.

 

They should unlock everything on premiums. I will buy the new stuff, no problems there, but unlock all.

I really do not understand how did you linked my enjoyment and realistic spice of  tunning of  Me 109's  Daimler Benz engine and   exploitation of other player statistics in battle  that should of course ashame any true pilot.

 

And you got likes for this troll post from people who obviously like you already use this cheat?!

Troll post?... you do realise that you have a big sign(winged shield) over your 'specialised' plane when you fly it in game....bots don't have it...only humans.

 

PS:- WG stick the sign over your plane....no mods needed.
