And I also want to hear the ENGINES again. They were simplified, are in low volume and lost their characteristics.  In 1.9 all was fine!  2.0 sucks here.

The GUN sound needs also to be separated from the EGINGES. The Guns are to loud in relation to the ENGINGES:   this must me a user option:

At least 2 Volume modifiers:

-ENGINE

-GUN FIRE

...

-Ambient sound

-Music

.....

Relating to this, why on earth vulcan minigun sound was changed to normal 600 rpm autocannon? i invested about 150€ on gold to get F-94D starfire asap JUST BECAUSE of the vulcan minigun "brrrt" sound.

I mean seriously. There is Major difference between 600 rpm "RATATATA" sound and 3000 rpm "BRRRRT" sound. This is simply unacceptable. Why change something that is not broken. Thank you.

I should have known I won't be allowed to have this much fun for extended periods of time. Lootboxes now, what next? I'm beyond disgusted with this blatant money grab scheme. If lootboxes are deemed gambling and/or illegal in some countries, that should give you a clue that it's probably not a good idea to go through with this.

The time to quit again seems to draw close, then it's back to IL2 Sturmovik with me since War Thunder is crap and they've knowingly crippled joystick controls. I'll probably try to get some friends interested in making a semi-arcade air combat game with me. With Blackjack! And Hookers!

This is a bug, it will be fixed a long with a few other sound bugs I've reported in the next patch.

This is due to the legal ambiguity of sales of such items to Belgium at the moment.

Improving and enhancing equipment is also gambling. Maybe not in legal terms but that's what it is.

There is a legal definition for gambling, not the generic definition of gambling. This is the reference.

So let me get this straight! If you are playing a tier 8 battle in a tier 7 plane and your engine gets knocked out... you are toast!! It's already annoying enough that I have to choose between loosing my pilot or being set on fire!

Why was this implemented into the game without testing it ,let alone thinking it through? Equipment and consumables where fine as they are!

The only thing you should have done is separate the xp and creditboost consumable into a separate slot system like in WoT

Al we want as a community for this game is: More nations, More planes, More maps, More game mods and Fixes for the things that are broken

It's not rocket science!

Now we are stuck with poorly thought through consumable system and pointless equipment system with nerfs!

NOT GOOD!!

You are partially right. Consumables and equipment were fine and your idea about exp or creditboost working like in WOT is great.

But I disagree about the damage. When you are flying with gastank with wings, engine exhaust glowing red hot and you get shot with tracers containing white phosphorus, you will burn. I like the new damage model coz it is realistic. Guns don't feel like shooting with a pellet gun.

Little bit strong expression but I must partially agree. Why fix something that is not broken? I understand you must make money so I understand you are trying to make purchases more appealing. But why mess with the sound system?

My apologies. I missed the answer on the sound problem. I edited my further whinings about the minigun. Thank you. This is great game. Tho I like the wot update changing all ammunition and consumables to credit based system. Credits are not easy to make without either premium planes or premium accout. I think you could attract more players by doing so and still earn a living. Everybody must understand that gaming industry is not charity.

Maybe the nerfs that come with equipment boosts aren't that bad! My point on the limited consumables from a tier 7 to a tier 8 battle are not good while you already have a tier disadvantage! And I don't even know what consumable I can pick after the plane is specialized, cause I haven't maxed out 1 of my planes yet!

It's a slotmachine.

WG reported -not- but I'll bet some EU commission will jump on this.

Anyway, politics are fucked.

And this latest greatly communicated patch and wipe imo also.

-Just lots of fun(!?) while doing stupid grind/lottery, will check what specialist brings, maybe go to a TierX and hope some other patch will bring improvement and remove -at least some of the- latest nerfing and random frustration.

-rework daily missions, some are beyond ridiculous. it baffles me that they´re still not fixed

-specialist requirement is far too grindy. especially with the "in victorious battles" requirement.

-calibrating equipment is pointless if you can just enhance it.

-moving pilots between planes freezes the game for 10 seconds.

-stop completely resetting controls and settings every update.

-give us half the materials for defeats. reward materials based on performance. i´ve had 20k games with 6 basic materials and i´ve had 8k games with 15 materials, including rare ones (at tier IV lol).

-why the hell did we get nothing (materials, progress towards specialist) for already unlocked and often played elite planes? why the FFFF do we have to grind 100 planes all over again now? has anyone at wg even thought about this for a minute? stop punishing the loyal player base. god knows you can´t afford that. warships handles it´s community about a thousand times better

and yes, i don´t know why i even bother, they don´t care about our feedback, but there you go...

I am a 2.0 player.

RoyalFlyingCorps  summed it up pretty good.

In my eyes, the update  is a major bummer. Too many changes at once and too complicated. Maybe if they were staged, it would be more natural.

I am also an all plane grinder and was seriously angered that I have to re-grind all the planes again. Furthermore, I used to grind the plane and sell it if I didnt like it, so I can buy it later if I wanted (already in elite status).

Otherwise, I'd have to swipe my credit card for too many hangar slots. What happens now? If  If sell an expert airplane and re-buy it, I have to go through the expert  again? If yes, something must be done about that.

The mark on the expert airplane is like a target painted on your back. This should be an option whether to display it. Not everybody want to advertise it and it is a sore eye for those who see it and don't have the status yet.

The whole concept of impoving and recalibrating, encancing, etc  is way,way too complex. Before, I had 3 slots to decide how to improve my plane and by how many %. Right now, I have no idea what are my final figures are and what is better for me to do. In addition, I dunno how pilot skills are gonna affect my equipent now. Don't think  I'm gonna touch it much.

The original 2.0 had a clear choice of your planes and style of playing. You would pick your favourite plane by its charateristics and enhance it with equipment. If you wanted more - train your pilot!

What you are saying now, for example,  - you can train to expert, and by improving the equipment and sacrifcing other skills, you can make an american fighter more manuverable but much more fragile. Why? Why not go for a Japanese fighter in the first place if you wanted those characteristics? I think you should have  invested in the diveristy of the planes and not a super complex system of modifying them, if that was your idea.

If I were starting the game now, I'm not sure I would have understood what to do and which plane to go for.

Regarding the parts, I think they should be granted if you lost too. Maybe less parts or only to players  who earn a certain amount of personal points.  With the amount of bots in higher tier games, the possibily of coordinating the game are limited and whe win/loss sometimes depends on them. Especially if you are flying the type of planes that are not game changers.

I want to state that I am speaking from a view of  an average player. I am no expert that strives to dominate and win every game nor do I wish to be.

I play merely to have fun and relieve stress after work  and my fun has been severly spoiled by the update.

Also, I would like to mention the map balance (wanted to write about but procrastintaed). Some of them are severly unbalanced. Albion: Trump card  is one example.

Having two command centers on one end and two mining plants on the other is hardly fair. Especially if you fly a fighter and end up on the mining plants' end.

I am positive guy :). Looking forward. However reading these reactions to changes I have to say this: Dear 2.0 new players. When many veterans from 1.9. got their world shattered by 2.0 and they were vocal about it, many newbies argued that vets have no right to wine. Now YOU are in distantly similar (not even that drastic) change environment. Perhaps now you understand how 1.9 vets felt. You have 1-5k battles in 2.x now and already feel attached to 2.4. and uneasy when 2.5 changes came along. We had like 15-40k battles in 1.9.  So let us  # DEALWITHIT :izmena::)

Well, I am solely 2.0 and I feel horrible about this patch! :)

Just the fact that you have to study a guide to understand how to play the game proves that something is wrong.

To be fun the game should be simple (which it was).

This is my sincere, constructive opinion, despite my resentment of the patch.
