I just wonder what you think is your worst plane?

Mine is the tier 4 premium I-16-29. And this is a warning against buying it.

I am trying to finish a weekly mission called "Across the ocean", and I just need to grind base xp in tiers 1-4 with US or USSR planes to finish it. I only have one plane in those tiers, the premium I-16-26. I loved the standard I-16 variants (when upgraded), but this version, not so much.

While it can take a heavy payload, it has rather small arms. Its only bonus is its turning ability, rest is meh or very bad. You could use its low speed in ground attacks, but then its low HP makes that a suicide role, especially after 2.05 with improved AA.

It is best at defending already capped bases, in low altitudes and against slow targets that let you shoot at it for a long time. And even then it can only do well against bots and bad humans. In tier 5 battles even bots are hard to fight.

So whats your worst plane, prem or standard?

Easy for me:

Se-100.

I can make things like the I210 and the 190-A1 work and get something out of them. The Se-100 is a plane is see no point in flying with better options!

Dornier 335 A-1. Good bomb payload but it will not turn quick enough and the guns are not powerful enough to kill on a pass. RB17 will murder it with rear guns. P1056 and X5FU are waaaaaaaaaaaaay better.

I actually think the Se-100 is great. I suppose play style does impact on opinion.

So many people like it, I despise it. I see no benefit to it over the others apart from the rear gun. I would rather the beaufighter for the rear gun. Leaving the se-100 in my opinion in a land of

Il-40P!

Very slow! No HP! https://picload.org/...ot_167.jpg.html  :sceptic:

eekeeboo? Can you tell Persha genies, that the HP nerf of this plane is insane? 2.600 instead of 3.237 before the glorious 2.05. It will cost tons of materials to calibrate airframe to 20% (25% it was before) + the missing 10% HP of reinforced wings + the minor effect of the 40% armor skill and 750 HP for the emergency skill is a way to low then also. And ask them if they know how many dmg you eat now from T8 defense planes, airdefense and stupid heavys and high dmg fighters? Playstyle is now, drop bombs, shoot rockets, respawn, drop bombs, shoot rockets, respawn. A Monkey pilot can do this.

For me... hmm... the Mosquito and the Hornet. Not bad in any way... I just hated playing them.

Miss Piggy made it worth it though.

My worst plane might just be my Me262- although it is quite fun.

But the thing is, it is bad in turns, it is too fast at some points, then you need your boost but youve used it all, its got murderous guns- but only if you hit, its rockets are amazing- but bots dodge the second you hit launch.

So it is not that bad of a plane, it just has very frustrating gameplay, because it could do so much better than it mostly allows you to.

In terms of premiums: i am one of those guys who properly reads up on prems before buying them and i pretty much like all of them, even the ones that i got for free. My worst, by far, is the tier 3 224 supermarine, but even that plane isnt bad, its just my worst premium

I was just about to write the same.

Somehow I can't perform with it.

edit

Looks to me they've nailed it historically. All the things you wrote and I felt too are things that WW2 aces in 262 wrote, that's how they performed (and underperformed). A precise niche, extremely mighty only if you place yourself right to a thousand-bomber-formation.

Oh yea, that reminded me of my Seversky 2PA... not a favourite. In fact, it's pretty terrible :)

Historically it is a tremendously fascinatingly plane though, which is part of the reason im not willing to give up on it yet.
I'll agree that bomber flights are 0 match for this plane- except the everlasting problem that they are simply too slow for you to position yourself comfortably behind.

I think ill buy the ME262 HG II as soon as i got the credits, but ill keep the Me262 around as a tribute to its historical value haha.

Also, im quite impressed to see how it handles exactly the way it historically would have then- like a tremendously fast and strong beast, thats just difficult to tame.

Agree on the 262, but it's such a beautiful, fun plane to use regardless of it's defects :D

And the 224 is brilliant at it's tier and against tier 2, maybe a little slow and well off the pace against tier 4. I love the little fella.

The F7F Tigercat. I am trying so hard to make that thing work but it just feels like it's the weakest in tier.

Against it's peers it's only strength is survivability. But it's massive. Handles like a drunkard. It's slow and can't climb like it's peers can.

I will keep at it though. I will figure out this pig and make it dance.

The grind on that pre-2.0 was a right ball ache and I was convinced I'd sell it when done, but on 2.0 I grew to enjoy it enough to keep it although not often used. No advice on how to play it I'm afraid, I rely on pot luck rather than trusted tactics when I use it :D I suppose I kept it partly due to having a thing for keeping the 'real' planes, most of the experimental/fantasy stuff doesn't appeal to me.

Honestly, it's looking more and more like a fast ground attack aircraft than a heavy fighter. I'm starting to think about classifying it as a Multi-role Ground Attack Fighter. With the new equipment system I think I can make it strong in that role.

It's peers have very clear strengths.

The Zwiling is a phenomenal glass cannon vertical fighter.

The Hornet is a superb smash and dash Fighter-Bomber (although I do consider British Fighter-Bombers to actually be "Bomber-Fighters")

There are many planes that situational i think they are bad. But most situations are when youre the paper, and you meet the scissors. But one plane that youre hopeless in any situation when other plane get his eye on you is probably Pegasus.

Also lately im under the impression that there is something wrong with Tsh-3. Its like anything that shoots at you use nuclear missles, be it AA guns, defense bot white planes, or enemy. Your HP just vanish in a matter of 2 seconds.
