   Hi

in article Progression 2.0 is:

As replacing aircraft modules is impossible in the Specialist configuration, players can choose what is more important to them: more equipment or consumable slots, or the possibility, for example, to replace weapons in the Stock configuration. You will be able to switch between these two configurations in the Hangar.

Do anyone know how I can switch between specialist and normal configuration?

   thanks

Good one. It actually took me a minute to figure out.

First of all, you obviously need a specialised plane, otherwise you wont have anything to switch between.

Then you go to your upgrades tab (i had expected service tab, since all of the equipment and relevant stuff is listed there).
At the top you have "Stock" and "Specialist" configurations as text buttons.

The "Specialist" button is selected by default when you have specialist unlocked i think, but you can go back to "stock" simply by clicking it, and then to "specialist" again by clicking that.

Do note that you need to equip separate equipment on both configurations, although you can freely exchange equipment between the layouts on 1 plane.

This is addressed to anybody who can offer some clarity on this issue, apologies if it's already been addressed and I've overlooked it in all the feedback areas.

As I've said before, I'm still interested in getting back into WoWP if I see the chat crashes and stuff have finally been fixed, even if I'm still dubious about the new equipment system.

Now, as an example, I used to prefer playing my Beaufighter with a generally more historically accurate module set-up ie. no quad turret, only rockets OR bombs, or neither. I also used to prefer flying some planes with weapons that were not the 'top' guns....because often the top guns were more 'derpy' and felt like a downgrade...or just didn't suit my playstyle.

Would setting up planes in this way preclude me from being able to experiment with upgrade or calibration bonuses/trade-offs?

Had to buy it back to check.:honoring:

At the elite stage, you can set it up as you normally would, no quad turret and you can have your rockets or bombs or both. You don't have to upgrade to top guns, you can just upgrade the collimater for accuracy. You can keep...and if you want, improve the actual stock guns for either range, burst length or rate of fire, but only one of those choices or you can leave them as they are.

You can experiment with enhancement and calibration on stock parts and check out their bonuses/trade-offs.

I found that 'enhancing' first before 'calibration' is the best way to go, as you get something definite instead of a gamble with 'calibration' which can leave you worse off after spending lots of parts...at least you have a good baseline to start from with 'enhancement' as you cannot drop below that set level.

Many thanks Bravely, good to know when the time comes.

is there a chance to equip a specialist plane as i like it? for example i want to fly the Me109B with small guns and the Me110 B without bombs

cheers 0berhessen

There is an art to flying, or rather a knack. The knack lies in learning how to throw yourself at the ground and miss. ... Clearly, it is this second part, the missing, that presents the difficulties (Douglas Adams - Hitchhikers Guide to the Galaxy)

Yeah, that is baffling if so. If it's about choice, why should the specialist option force you to one particular configuration, especially given that some 'all in' configurations result in cartoonish, un-historical, weirdly clunky machines...ie. The 'Beaufighter' hovercraft GAA + AA battery.

Too True, spent a good few hours getting IL-20 to Specialist, only to find I could not battle with 23mm.

Have always done so with this aircraft as it has been good for me with them even though 57mm hit harder, for me tooooooo slow.
