Public Stats & Newbie Advice

Hi All
Any advice on how to make my stats public? it seems they are private so I can't compare them on warplanestoday.
Also, are there any general tips for a new player? I've got a few low-tier prems from bonus codes which is basically what made me start playing! I do like it, although it feels rather hectic (nice change from WoWs) - is there much 'strategy' or do you just fly, shoot, bomb (if you have them) and don't get shot down whilst trying to secure the objectives!?

This is no longer possible, other than the sharing of your winrate etc.
Tips for a new player can be varied and extensive.
Can you clarify on what particular area you would like the most help?

I suppose in terms of tips:
1) Is there any typical pitfalls that a newbie might not recognise?
2) Does aerial combat here represent IRL combat (as it was then) - performance improves/decreses dependent on plane and altitude, don't follow down a burning enemy, concealment is higher if approaching from the sun etc
Also, is there anyway to adjust throttle (apart from boost) and to see where it is at?
Thanks!

Biggest Advice i can give right now would be to put this in Questions section and hopefully people will answer you!
But sort out your UI, get to know your plane, don't go up to tiers too quickly.
Learn the difference between Boom and Zoom and Turn and Burn. Learn how energy efficiency works in planes.
I can provide a lot more detail but don't want to go into too much detail when hopefully we can start setting up some guides and information for people such as yourself in the forum section!
Right now there is no way to adjust the level of throttle other than 100% and boost and idle unfortunately.
Also: Though some are slightly out of date, there are some interesting and detailed information about some things you can do and intricacies of planes! https://worldofwarpl...guides/?page=1

My advise: learn how various plane types behave in battle. And learn to play your own planes on their strengths.
Typical noobtraps: bombs in your face when chasing GA, rockets ehen going head on, ramming by bots, not using minimap, squall line.
The last one is an interesting one: after some time you can no longer respawn, so you want to avoid dieing after that point. Mind that timer & crash yourself just before it if needed

Thanks! Already had the bomb-in-your face one...
Tried rockets myself without success but have at least learnt to watch out!
I have got in habit of using Minimap in other games so thankfully that is second nature already. One point - is there any way to tell the difference between high altitude and low altitude planes on the Minimap? What is the difference between the 'big' arrows and the 'small' arrows?
Ramming - yeah, sometimes I have deliberately done it - I've found rolling just before impact means you normally just get a damaged wing... and a kill ![]()
Good point on crashing before squall line

The big arrows and small arrows actually inform you of the relative height of those targets to yourself. So you answered your own question!

1: gun aiming. the gun aim is just there to show you where the shells will go. it is up to you to learn how mutch lead you need over the targets for the various guns and planes.
1a: the common mistake is that new players thinks that shooting down plane wins the game. it dont. capping objectives does. personal points does not matter if your team will win or not, only how mutch cred and xp you will get.
2: yes and no.
each progression line has its own main identity and playstyle but that can change as you go up the line, and you will struggle to see the enemy plane if the sun is behind it, but that is where it stops, it is an arcade game after all.
the moust newbie friendly line is the spitfires as it does a little bit of everything.
throttle: W for speedbost, S for slowing. thats all. not touching any of the keys is 100% throttle.
