I understand WoWp was added couple days ago on steam. Should we expect new meat for the grinder in low tiers? Seal clubbing fiesta?

An "early access" version ?

Why Early Access?
“World of Warplanes has already launched worldwide outside of Steam, but the Steam version has a new game client that needs to be checked. Early Access gives us the chance to gather feedback to implement changes and make necessary adjustments for more pleasant gameplay. We want to be sure that players will have the best experience before World of Warplanes is officially released.”
Approximately how long will this game be in Early Access?
“Up to 6 months based on community feedback.”
How is the full version planned to differ from the Early Access version?
“The main goal is to check everything, so the final version will not differ much from the Early Access one, as the game has already launched outside of Steam. We will focus on technical issues and gathering player feedback.”
What is the current state of the Early Access version?
“The Early Access version allows you to play on shared servers and enjoy all the content, so the Early Access version is almost identical to the live client. The only thing that needs to be checked is how stable the game client is. All the features and content currently implemented in the game are listed in the "About this game" section.”
Will the game be priced differently during and after Early Access?
“The game will remain free to play after Early Access.”
How are you planning on involving the Community in your development process?
“We are going to gather the community’s opinions/suggestions/critiques and implement all necessary technical and gameplay changes, so we encourage players to share their feedback. We try to stay as open with the community as possible, investigating issues and ideas. Besides regularly checking feedback and answering questions, we are going to share the information about the development process to stay closer to our community.”

Wow, it's quite a bit of a brutal lash at themselves to call this early access- although i do hope that the suggested technical improvement etc is going to take place then.

I can only hope the boost in players, game quality etc will happen as the info from GonerNL suggests, in which case i think no one can object :D

I wonder if the Steamers will play on the same servers we do : but the Steam version has a new game client ...

Can't imagine 2 different clients playing in the same battles ... ?

The reason it's called early access is because on steam a lot of technical testing needs to take place with the game. A lot of the processes that take place (for instance the premium shop) change in steam vs the standard version of the game. The same for signing up to an account for World of Warplanes etc.

Once these are found to be working correctly and no issues caused with feedback also, then it will be looked at to go full release.

But do they play on the same servers we do ? Same battles ?

Because it's said that there are 2 different clients ... Early Access version is almost identical to the live client.

Yes, the only thing that differs is the way they sign up and that they can buy DLC for instance (such as a DLC pack with an IL-10M instead of buying it through the regular premium shop only).

In fact; you can add your account&WoWP game to steam even i think.

Correct me if im wrong @eekeeboo

The reason for the almost identical is that WG standard client is region specific, whereas steam currently has 1 unified server.

The premium shop works differently, in WGC and dedicated client you purchase via the premium shop and activate codes through the Wargaming Code Activation system. In steam you go through the dedicated steam shop system.

But the aircraft, tech trees, mm and maps etc will all be the same. The way accounts are created will be different.

For premium like in ships you can purchase via DLC packs, like a permenant sale of item packs. Whether this will be adopted by planes is planned and to be tested. Depending on success and feedback decisions will be made from there.

For the servers: The steam players will be able to select the regional servers the same as those who WGC.

Going to stream is good thing, but is it right time before proper bug fixing?

The WT fan boys are so annoying in comments there. So many years and they have to spit on WoWP at every corner. I pity them they cry for help, they are shrinking, I tryied WT a month ago and with Mig 15 bis arcade mode the queue time was 8 minutes and 6v6. So they can talk crap about our game, but WT is not growing. I think what I liked about WT most was some event mode 6 players death match all v all, with timer, respawns and frag score ladder. I also liked duel tournaments, fully automated. There should WoWP take some ideas.

As mentioned the events and tournaments if people have good ideas and want to organise as such, I will support where I can.

No unfortunately, because of the way premium sales and purchases take place on steam etc.

So these are different accounts but they play the same game on the same servers with the same tech trees and so on ? We play against them ?

Will the pricing be the same between the normal shop and the steam shop ?

The difference is that steam take 30% of every purchase. Otherwise depending on the agreement between WG and Steam there may be sales depending on agreement and the promotional team. If you are curious how it will work the model that world of warships will be used.
