Can you please consider not exhuming old threads?  Especially as in this case Zen is long past needing advice on what to do with his Spitfire pilot.

Regarding your comments...at 2 skills to use and aircraft equipped with upgrades that benefit the skill then Aerodynamics Expert is a bit of a no brainer.

However, I do have a pilot or two with MM1 and MM2 and there does seem to be an increased ease of use with these pilots.

The info says it increases chance of hit in defection shots. Hard to quantify this, but when using weapons with a lower rate of fire this should clearly have some benefit.

That said. Increasing the agility of aircraft to godlike levels is going to have a massive impact.

I've started this thread a long time ago indeed, when all the new equipment & specialization & new skills were... ehm, new. We were still learning.

Now I can safely say: Eekeeboo was right - Marksman 1 & 2 is a way to go. All your planes become more lethal. Some slightly, barely noticeable, and some drastically (all those multiple heavy caliber guns with wonky trajectories).

Oh yes, and harmonizing the equipment with skills, but at that time it was all new, we didn't quite know what boosts exactly what and to what extent.

I'm looking forward to the Spitfire XIV. At the moment I waste my statistics with the TA 152. The 20 mm for that plane are ineffective. It got three of them - and the 30 mm are useless while dogfight. With 3 30 mm guns I have a Jak 9U. So I hope the Spitfire got the same guns like the Meteor.  That works.

Mix the guns up mate. 30mm Mk 108 for the hub (it's the mid one not the last) and leave the 20mm on the wings. The 30mm Mk 103's are indeed too much hard work with the low rate of fire. If you are chasing something that can maneuver you will never hit it.

I actually didn't mind the stock 20mm gun load out but adding the 30mm Mk 108 gives it the punch you need to take things down effectively and seems to connect better in deflection shots.

Yes that's the best compromise only with 20s the bombers kick me down with 30s the light fighters can pass between two bullets. The mix is enough for a few down shootings but not the killer I've hoped for. Three of the 20s of the BV P.210 would be much better.
