Not getting XP
#1 Posted 09 November 2018 - 01:50 PM
If I look at my JU-88's progress, I've got less than 2k total (same as before the match). The plane isn't elite (I still need to research third engine upgrade) so crew can't be accelerated (and aren't, I double-checked incase something weird went on there), but the XP isn't going into it, the 5x victory bonus isn't being consumed, I don't think I'm getting credits either.

Same here...tried it with the P-38F and Bf-110E and with the Bsh-2 to see if it works in tier 4 like someone suggested. It does not.
In the personal score screen of the Bf-110 i get the notice that the last 2 modules i need for Elite status are available for research but when in the upgrade screen they are still unavailable.
Same with the P-38.
Wonderful.

We're aware of the issues regarding progression/tracking problems with operational orders and the Birthday missions.
The problem has been found and currently worked on. A fix should be put in place in the next hour. I will update when I know more.

Thanks for letting us know.
Question: will we get our "missing" xp or do we have to do it all over again?

Hello all!
The update is that the missions are now working and progressing correctly across the board. Please keep us updated if not, otherwise good hunting and good fortune for the weekend and getting that juicy XP36F. I finished the missions without restart or update, but as always, the safest is to restart your client with a clear cache.

Well, it is still happening...i'm not getting 5xXP with the Mosquito...
In the personal score screen i get messages that modules are available for research but in the upgrade screen those modules are red and require more XP, they also don't get any XP, not even x1...
That is really annoying and of course i will not be able to advance and upgrade...together with black screens in bombing sight and other horrible bugs with bomber aircraft which make it rather useless to play and the XP and in game currency lost because of this (not speaking of time...) this whole update and birthday bugnation is really an embarrassing joke. Very well done WG.
Wonderful...

If this really is the case, then it could be some synchro issue - xp is handled by the server, you might have issues with displaying it properly (but this is a very remote possibility). Try clearing the cache just in case. However the most probable cause is that your plane has reached Elite status, and you ticked 'Accelerate crew training' in the Crew panel; for that though, you need to have already researched next tier plane.

Agree with you that my plane reached Elite status but becouse I reached Elite status I suppose to make more XP then before (better aircraft = more kills = more XP...etc) apperently is the other way arround, beeter aircraft = less XP, makes harder and harder to unlock next airplaine -> this is erry frustrating
Spitfire I = I have Elite Status and to unlock Spitfire IX reasearch price is insane 61 000 (considering that I receive 100/200 XP /game)
If I just like one type of airplane and It's in tear IV or V and I ust whant to play in that league, once I reached Elite status also P is stop increase like before
I'm verry disapointed considering that I purchased pckage from the shop to upgrate my aiplane.
* I did not "Accelerate crew training"

No, it doesn't work that way - Elite means that all the modules are already researched, AND you researched next tier plane. Once there, no more xp is necessary on that plane - unless it's a branching plane (meaning you can research into two different planes from this one, but since you are talking about Spitfire, that is not the case). You are getting increased CREW experience though, flying an Elite plane; if Accelerated Crew Training is on, ALL of the xp earned on such an Elite/Specialist plane goes towards crew training, and none is stored on the plane itself. If it's not on, you should be getting normal xp on the plane (i.e. split 50/50 between the plane and its crew).
Also, you're not making much sense here - you can not research Spitfire IX (tier 7) using Spitfire I (tier 5) - you have to go through Spitfire V on tier 6. So you Elite Spit I, then start flying Spitfire V - which accumulates xp for its own modules and towards Spitfire IX.

Oh, an afterthought - the 150 or 200 xp you mention is such a pitiful number that it has to be Free Experience (and this would be more reasonable). So, if you're flying Spitfire 1 hoping to unlock Spitfire IX:
1) it's impossible directly, as you have to go through Spitfire V
2) the amount of xp needed to unlock Spitfire IX is the base xp (that you need to earn with Spitfire V) minus free xp (which you can earn on any Elite plane)
This would explain why you progress so slowly. To put it in other words - you are doing it wrong.
