First, though possibly it would not be well used, I'd like to see a forum section for the World Of Warplanes API.

Secondly, and to the point, could the developers be asked to replace the placeholder information in these fields for aircraft details that can be obtained through the API, please?  The column headers are mine, but equate to:

WGID = plane_id

ShortName = short_name_i18n

Tier = level

Nation = nation

Type = type

LongName = name_i18n

Description = description

These were obtained through the method "planeinfo".

Well, a reply would have been nice.

Well, I think we can see that API issues are simply not a priority for the World Of Warplanes team.  If so, it would be nice if somebody could actually say so instead of ignoring a request by a player entirely.

Not the first player, neither first request to be entirely ignored... :(

Hi, thanks for the suggestions.

"First, though possibly it would not be well used, I'd like to see a forum section for the World Of Warplanes API." - I am not sure that it will be popular, so you can keep all API suggestions in this section.

"Secondly, and to the point, could the developers..." - Sorry for my poor tech background, but whats wrong with the current method

The method is fine.  What is wrong is the information it fetches for planes introduced to the game since about the advent of the Spitfire Vb IM.  I listed the planes with “placeholder” information instead of proper information in the opening post - correct short name, correct long name, correct description.  Probably other attributes have placeholder information too.

Do you use this information from API somewhere and it is incorrectly displayed? Why I'm asking - I didn't find where and how it affects the game and other official resources

Seriously?  You're not aware of the official WG APIs for its games?

Documentation:

https://developers.wargaming.net/documentation/guide/getting-started/

Sample API reference:

https://developers.wargaming.net/reference/all/wowp/account/list/?r_realm=eu

In the API for World Of Warplanes the 'planeinfo' method returns basic information about the aircraft in the game (there are 272 listed in the API, incidentally).  However, some of the information for recent aircraft has not been provided.  Instead placeholder information is present so, for example, the 'short_name_i18n' attribute for the B-17G is given as 'PLANE_NAME_B-17G' instead of, presumably, 'B-17G'.  There are at least two other attributes with placeholder information.

Well, the impression I get is that WoWP doesn’t care about its API any longer.  What a pity; a good API can lead to interesting applications developed for the playing community that enhance the experience of the game.

Ok, I understood your point of view, the requests for creation of content on APIs basic  have not been received for a long time. I forwarded the information to the colleagues who are  responsible for this.
