You can only skip the grind with tokens and tokens are not for sale as far as I know ?? (sometimes for a short time in events)

They have been for sale last couple of weekends, certainly last weekend, don't know about this one coming but check on Saturday just in case might be lucky, think they were on sale till the new planes become grindable.

EDIT: Found the WG statement on tokens, they should be available this weekend :

"Good news! You can grab tokens on sale during 10 November at 02:00 until the end of 11 November at 00:00; 17 November at 02:00 until the end of 18 November at 00:00; 24 November at 02:00 until the end of 30 November at 00:00; 1 December at 02:00 until the end of 2 December at 00:00. All times are in CET (UTC +1)."

But don't forget they are available to grind after this, I got the tier 5's and the US tier 6 but decided to grind the rest

Its not necesarely they are more dangerous than others, especially on lower tiers. Ive met quite a lot of them that just fly in a straight line, with zero battle awareness except their target. Those you talk about usually you learn by name after you spend a while playing this game, and not always they have specialised plane. And meeting one its usually like your first sex. You finish fast, and you dont really realise what happened.

Yeah it's fairly normal to see planes with specialist get killed repeatedly in a short space of time, all the planes I've got specialist on I was grinding up the tree, and once you get to sufficient points to get the next aircraft in the tree you are usually very near specialist point wise so why not grind a bit more for the extra equipment?, but I can't say they were always my favourite planes to fly, and it's certainly not a badge indicating how dangerous you are, merely that your aircraft might have a few more of the right kind of buffs.

When you see a long trail of kill marks running down a planes fuselage or tail thats usually a bit more of an indicator, but I usually see that in the "killed" cut scene together with that sad music as my plane goes down in flames, or pieces

The number of bugs have increased in last few months, but so is the game content. About testing, I don't have full confidence in their ability to test the game. That is response to actual bug that you are complaining.

The more code you add/change the more bugs you get, saw a University study years ago that said even the most competent developer introduces a bug roughly every ten lines of code, don't know if that's true anymore but it is true the more you change the more unintended bugs you get.

And yes you can test but events in games tend to have short shelf lives, and project managers want to get new features out quick what with management breathing down their neck to ship a new income generator, and meet their promised schedule (seen a month reserved for testing squeezed down to less than a week on one project, not for a game, boring business software).

Don't get me wrong I scream at them every time I get a black screen or get someone else's plane on the screen doing it's own thing when I respawn, but these days I just nose down into the ground, it's usually ok when I respawn yet again and it's faster than what I used to do which was to terminate using task manager and restart.

BTW, OP's original post :"there was a very bad sound bug, making a machine gun sound that keeps shooting, even when respawned again. Bug 3"

Try firing a short burst with your guns, that fixes it for me till I use my guns again when it returns and again a short burst of fire gives you silence again unless you get that low level repeating "marching" noise which doesn't seem to clear as easily.

Well if you ask me I could very well do without all the specialist crap. If only the time for this, had gone to testing and bug correction, I'm sure the game would have been in a better state today.

Absolutely.

We all (?) did very well until 2.0.5 ... I still feel it's a bit overdone.

Yes, it doesn't seem to add much over the old system, and I hate the "calibrate" fruit machine RNG, sometimes go through 4-5 tries before I get anything close to acceptable, doesn't really add much to the game.

MM still hopeless. Six battles last night in Me 329- lower tier in 5 and slaughtered by t9 bots all the time. One battle in XF5U as high tier. 1 win. Got to say that the teams were rubbish and we loose by an average of 400 points per game. The bots were like demons all over you and never miss.

That really sux.

It gets worse by the day ... look at the after battle results for the one-shot Yak-7 and -9. They score better than humans and it even looks as if they target humans ; look at critical damage to see who they hit.

Had the day off, but regret playing.

Lots of roflstomps, but this was even worse :

you wonder why you even bother sometimes ...

Just won Akimutsu (probably wrong spelling) and McCampbell medals in one match but no tokens awarded.... wil raise a ticket but worth keeping an eye on your rewards after battles.

I've updated my starting post. After trying some more and more with the upgrade system, I begin to love it more and more. It's quite fun to have to dice roll now and then, and making your airplane better bit by bit.

However, I think a tutorial for returning players would be welcome.

One player killing whole enemy team or few loss in a row = people logoff, its that simple. Too bad such illogical game design is intendend.

Managed to get that bug where everything is black but the GUI is still visible in one of my battles tonight.

Task Manager->End Process->Reboot->and got to continue playing and not end up doing horribly.

And yes, I do think that I was tabbed out sometime during the loading process.

You dont really need to end process. You just have to hope some enemy pick you as target and kill you ( you are deployed somewhere, even you cant see where and cant control airplane to crash ). The next respawn it fixes itself and you can see all again.

1. Better not to feed :D

2. I tried to crash and it works for GAA (laps, air brakes and try to roll, but its impossible with high att planes like HF.

The biggest danger in any battle is not reading the order of battle (the players and planes, if you’re not used to that term), assessing what is likely to happen on the map upon which the battle will be fought and developing one or two plans of initial action..  You may get away with just plunging into battle, flying around aimlessly and shooting anything white or red you see at low tiers.  Probably you won’t at higher tiers.

I'd rather not give the enemy a free kill if I can try to avoid it. :kamikaze:

Regardless, thanks for the tip; I might keep it in mind next time it happens.

Your plane is still there even if you end task so they eventually still get the free kill.

True, but given that it is installed on an SSD, the game boots up fairly quickly.
