Equipment enhancement is a very important part in your preparations for battle. If you have ever tried to enhance, calibrate or reassemble your equipment you know that you need particular types of materials.

 

So how materials are gained?

 

The main principles are as follows:

  1. Materials are awarded for destroying aerial or ground targets.
  2. The more HP has a target the higher chances are for getting materials. For example, bombers and heavy fighters or armored ground targets. There's a slight chance to get 2 or even 3 parts for destroying one target. 
  3. There's a higher chance to gain materials for killing players/bots aircraft than for destroying ADAs and Bomber Flights.

 

Please mind:

For example, if you have a 40% chance to get airframe from a bomber (I underline - just an example irrelevant to reality) it doesn't mean that if you eliminate 3 bombers you will surely get a piece of material. It only means that every time you eliminate the target you have 40% chance to get a material.

Reminder: it doesn’t matter what you destroy in a battle if you aren’t on the winning team.  The win condition for materials is the only part of the system remaining from its introduction in patch 2.0.5 that makes ‘specialisation’ actually special.  Everything else in the system is now just another grind.

 

Or, if you have another perspective, materials acquisition is the part of the system that rewards good players at the expense of less good players, thus biasing the game towards the former.  Who says win rate doesn’t matter?

1- you should increase the amount of mechanical parts. mech parts are used for almost everything while airframe is only used for 3 useful pieces (hp, speed, maneuv.)

mech parts drop much less than airframe but are much more useful. i have 3000 airframe parts but only 500 mechanicals :/

i usually get a 3to1 drop rate air/mech

that being said, your table cannot be accurate, because we would earn basically the same amount of mech and airframe parts ...

 

2 - what are "special objects" ?

Special object is for example the "healing object" in the airbase, or the Parabolic antenna in Command center.

Special objects are the most protected objects which grant you the highest number of capture points per sector. 

There are only 4 sectors which have Special Objects. They are:

  1. Military Base
  2. Command Center
  3. Mining Plant
  4. Airbase

Main objects of these sectors are special objects.

Ohh so I must raze tier 5 to 7 to get the damned flight instruments? Good to know. Time to jump back into my trusty XP 75 and P39N1.

I can imagine the specials on airbase (control tower), mining plant (buildings next to chimneys), missile base (sloped building with oil tanks) but on CC there are several big buildings .. is it the one that Piq_Mastika mentioned, the one with the antenna disc ??

According to the sheets he released, you have the better chances to get flight instruments killing player planes at tier 5-7.
