But Tovarishch, christmas isn't due for another week and a half in rasha.

So in their view; the christmas event is all on time.

And what santa bags are is found on the news portal on the website.

The only thing vague about it is which premiums can be gotten through it.

And for WoT:

And for WoWS:

with google translator I do what I can.

but I tell you, you can not have the community uninformed, more than half a month, waiting for news about an event, it costs nothing, put the dates of the events at the beginning of the month, and we are all calmer.

But WG seems wrong to inform its customers, and this happens in almost all WG games.
It does not inform its clients well or on time.

Since I have to use this language that I do not like, I can not express myself better.

There ought to be a list of which aircraft are available in the bags and the chances of receiving them.  I have many of the aircraft already, so my haul from 100 bags was:

85 days of premium time (not really significant as I had over 220 days already)
19,500 gold (a bit less than I was expecting)
500,000 free experience (nice, but with 3.8 million free experience before I opened the bags not really that exciting)

The Ki-5 (I'm assuming some other low tier aircraft were turned into gold instead)

An assortment of boosters / materials / consumables, most of which I'll never use.

If anybody's tempted to buy bags for the Goblin, don't.  I suspect your chances of getting any high tier premium plane are very low indeed.  Certainly I didn't obtain the kind of gold compensation that would indicate I'd received a high tier premium aircraft that I had already.  Also, last year I bought bags from World Of Tanks and, because I have a lot of the high tier premiums in that game too, I received about 40,000 gold in 100 bags.  19,500 gold from this year's bags struck me as quite a low amount.

So, having used a lot of gold for various purposes, I as planned bought a second set of 100 Santa's bags.

66 days of premium time.

13,250 gold.

495,000 free experience.

No premium aircraft (bearing in mind I have most of these already).

Another assortment of boosters / materials / consumables, slightly more in number than the previous set of bags, but the difference was mainly airframe elements.

Note this: if you buy 30 days of premium (the next step is 90 days), the cost per day as I write is 28.4p.  So, 66 days of premium time is pretty much the same as buying two sets of 30 days.  That makes it worth about £18.75.  13,250 gold can be bought for £39.70.  Therefore, by spending £68.44 I have in return received about £58.45 of value in premium time and gold.  That is, I have lost approximately £10.

It has been stated that nobody will lose money when buying Santa's bags.  I just have.  I would like to know what the WoWP team's official position is concerning people who get back less than they paid for their bags.

My advice to anybody contemplating buying a second set of bags is to think hard about what they are likely to receive.  On the evidence above, anybody with a reasonable selection of aircraft in their hangar already may very well lose money on the deal.

I feel sorry for you Q,

it is dissapointing that in WoT the Community Contributors which get 200 Boxes for free got an average of 600-700gold per lootbox.

If you have the tanks you get compansation in Gold for it. And when you already have all the planes you just get basicly nothing. I think when you have no premium planes and

want to have a bunch of low-tiers yeah than it is maybe a good deal. but if you already have them. you lose money.

100€ for 75 Boxes*600gold = 45.000 Gold (means 1€=450 Gold) (even if you get 1 of the Tier VIII you will get ur 300 gold per euro.)

The 80€ wowp-loot-box-set should give you at least the same amount of gold that you can get in tanks. 80*450 = 36.000 Gold

Looks like the wowp boxes are like a slot machine. The more coins you throw in that more it swallows and never give back.

As the 100 santa boxes were on sale today (-51%) I thought why not.

15,250 in Gold

65 Premium Days

405,000 in FreeXP

A shed load of parts and consumables.

Premium Planes:-

T3 Ju86-E

T4 HS129-A

T5 HE 100 D-1

T6 Spitfire DB605

T3 Di-61

T4 I-16-29

T5 LaGG-3 (34)

T5 IL-2 (mod)

T2 F11C-2

T6 P39N-1

T2 Ki-5

T4 Fantome

T5 M.20

That's £45 worth of gold. Call it £17 in premium days. With around £70+ worth of premium planes, should I buy them all. Some of the planes costs were estimated to a similar tier and type that is available. Then you have the 405,000 freeXP. In normal conditions you would need around 16,000 worth of gold to convert that much.

There are a few of the planes I wont bother with. But there are a few I will definitely keep/play. Plus others that are interesting enough to give a go.

So all in all in my opinion, I came out ahead. Had the -51% discount not been available I would not have took the risk. At full price, I would have been less than happy with the results.

Don't sell any. Those are the planes that usually go into these bundles. So if you sell them now you'll be getting them over and over - but if you keep them you'll get other planes or gold instead.

Has anybody actually got a tier 7 or 8 premium?  I'm assuming almost nobody received the Goblin.

Meanwhile, I await WG's official response concerning my £10 loss on my second set of Santa's bags.

TotalEgal told me that he got a French Tier 7 Plane out of his 100 Santa's Bags. He's a lucky guy. In the Forum their is no Post of someone getting a Tier 8 or a Goblin out of the Bags. Together thats over 500 Bags opend and nobody got a Tier 8

In WoT their are plenty of Community Contributors that opend their 200 Boxes which they got for free by Wargaming. And they got Tier 8's quite often. I would say at arround 3-4% chance.

@Nevermind can you check if their is no bug with the Santa Bag's? Because it is far beyond dissapointing if over 500 Bags are opend and postet on the Forum and nobody got a Tier 8. Compared to WoT's Chance to get a Tier 8 it looks like

the Santa Bags are bugged and you can not get a Tier 8 or Tier 9 out of it.

InGame it says "High" Chance to get a Premium as a Main-Prize if you have a Santa Bag. So if you open 100 Bags and get ZERO Planes OK he may have all the Planes in the prize pool. (Tier 8 and 9 seems bugged to me) so why these players don't get a little more Gold or Gold compensation if they already have the plane. In WoT you get 450Gold on average per € (with compensation for Premium-Tanks) and he just got 163 Gold per € thats half the Gold you get if you buy it directly in the Shop. Yeah and dont arguee with he got other things like Premium-Time or Free XP or Materials. You get these things in WoT too but still get a big bang of gold for your money bc of the compansation of the Premiums if you already have them

I bought the 75 bags bundle in WoT.......I got four T8's along with many T5's. So, I'll spend a lot of time playing there now.

I bought the 100 bags here, highest was a T6.

The WoT forum is littered with similar post about getting T8's................haven't seen one post here about anyone getting a T8.

If WG want to get players excited about playing WoWP's......this is how not to do it, you don't serve your playerbase a nothing burger.

This little tidbit indeed.

Although players can put a different emotional value to it, WG still lists that amount as being €67,25.

Pretty close to what you payed for those 100 bags, isn't it?

Again, a mealy-mouthed response.  Free experience has no gold remuneration value because it is not necessary to purchase it.*  If WG's official line is "nobody loses when they buy Santa's bags because we pretend free experience has a value" then I say this is a deception bordering on fraud.

So, having dismissed this piece of nonsense, I ask again.  What is WG going to do about the loss of £10 I suffered on my second set of Santa's bags?

* Incidentally, if like me you have a great deal of free experience - I had 3.8 million prior to purchasing my bags - and don't need any from Santa's bags, then effectively WG is saying "don't buy these bags because one of the so-called valuable components will have no value for you".

Santa Bags are bugged. WG simply messed up with it. There are no Tier 8 and no Tier 9 Premiums to get from these Bags.

Over 500+ Bags opend and no-one got a Tier 8.

WG is saying InGame "High Chance" to get Premium Planes. After 500+ Bags nobody got a Tier 8 premium. And RoyalFlyingCorps just got ZERO planes out of 100 Bags.

GG, WP, WG

QB was wrong, WoT is not dying - every title of WG is.
