So I ran into a Tiffy player on my side of the battle.

Nothing wrong with that, it is a fine plane and such.

After the squall line happened and I died, the game decided to have me watch him first.

And that's where I started facepalming:

Need I say more?

In almost every game we have players who have absolutely no idea what should they do during the battle. I just dont know why didnt he pick a bomber or a GAA if he can only shoot ground targets...well another braindead, thats all. The most annoying in this case, that it happened in a tier 7 match...it is normal in tier 2 but FGS in tier 7 it sucks...

BTW why did you censored the names? Is it a secret how ppl perform in this game????

Well....

2. No naming and Shaming

In-game rule violations should be reported using the in-game function directly.

Avoid:

  • Accusing others of being toxic in-game
  • Accusing others of malicious activity
  • Accusing others of cheating or using illegal services
  • Accusing others of trolling on the forums
  • Claiming to have "reported" someone
I dunno how well this rule is enforced here on the WoWP forum, but on the WoT forum they do so quite fervently.

I had to look into dictionary what fervently mean.

This had to happen. There are two explanations:

1. They are giving t7,t8 and t9 planes for candies to players who doesn't necessarily have any of those tier on their own. So that player might be quite green, and doesn't know how to play it.

2. That player might have some kill ground targets mission, and it doesn't have proper plane for the job.

I watched a tier 8 J8M flown by a human attacking ground targets at a mining plant for an entire game a couple of days ago.

I got the Tiffy gifted as well, and firstly tested it in the stock configuration with a 90% pilot. It felt like you fly a tier III heavy fighter, however matched together with tier VI/VII. Have you tried it that way as well, Nishi?

I don't have Tiffy, nor am I likely to get one in the foreseeable future. ;)

So this is only one of the possible answers to your "why". The plane is utter crap at least before having some researches done. Other reason could be that he had a black screen or disconnect directly at the start of the battle, his joystick was jammed, or maybe some of the numerous less familiar bugs encountered. IMO, tier VII isn't significantly harder than the tiers before, as long as you don't meet tier VIII enemies. But that's another story... :hiding:

Confirmed. Starting config/pilot is horrible.
stats were invented by Satan himself to suck the carefree fun out of gaming

He had the quad 20mm cannons though...

So definitely not stock configuration, and probably no 90% (or worse) pilot either.

Thanks to the current 5x I‘m halfway through the research, still I feeling like flying a cucumber shooting peas. Terrible plane...

Had an awful battle yesterday, also with only ~3.7k points, but that was against tier VIII even the defense fighters just waved and laughed at me.

For somebody that makes barely 3000points it will be a pretty hard grind to get the plane. I don't think that's a problem.

Somebody already said that the plane is realy bad when stock and only gets a useless 50% pilot. I didn't see that the upgraded frame is prerequsite for the 20mm guns and by misstake spend free XP to get them after my first battle in it.

I don't think this guy was especially bad - thats more like the average in mid tier.

Same for Tempest ... I really did bad in it at first.

But as soon as I had some upgrades (guns) and equipment (gunsight, light frame), it got better. Then I swapped the pilot with only battle-tested, for a pilot with marksman and aero expert and that was a huge improvement !
