Guys, on official discord, people are reporting getting 3 day chat bans for saying "crap" in chat, and like here, its seems its an epidemic.

My guess is WG introduced stealth ingame chat checker because its literally being processed after a single battle, without any player reports.

The only advice for now, before we got more information - refrain from using chat, because any kind of random word, deemed inappropriate by WG, gets you automatic 3 day chat ban.

Ok, then I would using chat every 4th day from now on. I don't give a crap to speak honey boney.

I like Ekee very much, but first warning here on forums he give me because I wrote "ffs"..I mean, we are not angels here, I wasn't meet anyone here who is that nice to speak like gentleman.

Now this makes perfect sense. I do write "stfu bots" at the startup when the automated bot chat irritates me, for both teams to see, and I always get :-). Now I got automated chat ban. "The Revenge of the Bots!"
stats were invented by Satan himself to suck the carefree fun out of gaming

My chat is also locked ... no message, no reason.

Like the police picks you up, throws you in a cell and won't tell you why. Probably normal in former Eastern Block countries ...

If I had to guess ... probably because I said '[edited]WG' when I had to abort a battle for the 12th time that day (joystick bug).

Reading this thread, suddenly half the player base is chat banned ?!

I wish they put all that time & energy in solving that damned bug !! But no, rules are more important, comrade !!

Got that 2-day ban as well, though I probably deserve it, because I always call bad players out on their stupidity.

I wouldn't worry about it.  It's probably just a little clique of people who you've upset - quite possibly by being better at the game than them - who've taken revenge through the reporting system.

Personally, I think in game chat should be switched off.  It's useless for the advancement of a battle.

Its not, you are deeply wrong. Chat is crucial and insults (healthy) are welcome.

When I playy bad and someone said that I'm idiot, I start to think and mostly play better after.

Problem is that clicking the map to call attention to targets is also part of chat (?) and switched off. So I can not communicate in any way with team.

And also chat with people in friend list is switched of. Maybe flight too ??

It's really pathetic ; they [edited]up the game, I can not play and when I get mad they ban me ?!

I never said anything personal to anyone, only got mad at WG in chat.

You may find it a useful goad.  I just find it irritatingly childish.

I wouldn't worry about it.  The "rules" surrounding what is and is not acceptable chat are so vaporous and the fact that nobody is ever told why they are banned makes a ban insignificant.  WoWP doesn't have an effective moderation policy or banning system.

I'm pretty sure chat can be turned off.  I believe I have a key assigned to do it and I'm reasonably sure it works.  I don't miss it.  I don't think chat adds anything to the game whatsoever.

What? Critique in chat? Ok, but then you must be unicum over all unicums if you think that you are always right. I'm not and I listen others.

There's a difference between "critique" and "abuse", Vule777.  What I see is 99% abuse and, in any case, a short message format in a fast-moving game is only rarely going to allow somebody to provide you with a comprehensive critique of your game.  Even if they somehow managed it, you'd likely not have the time to read it.  That's assuming the critique was not crowded out by all the abuse!

Different strokes for different folks; I like the game quiet and I like not being tempted into a flame war.

When someone that is good in game said "idiot team" you ignore that, or you find it insulting? What do you do then, ignore it and lose, or slap yourself and play better?

There is good and bad insults. Of course we must see the difference (WE, not automated fkn WG system), but I welcome all critique even if it is insulting, if it is on sane level. If not I will answer and get banned.

As I remember we played together and it was insults all over. No one reported anyone.

What is "abuse"? You can find that abuse is when i said "FOR SPARTA" and report me...where is border for this stupidity?

Same here, chat ban for 3 days. Maybe it's the "ffs" I use sometimes... Other than that is just calling a useless team "useless" sometimes, or maybe calling a human worse than a bot when he is, you know, worse than a bot... Played WoT since 2014 never got a ban, and there was some epic profanity there :) . So, lesson learned , keep the chat clean(er).

Now if they only enforced the rules the same way against the guys that drop out of battle when bottom tier....

In Wowp there is not toxic chat or insults..ok maybe sometimes but in next battle when that toxic idiot get in my team, then he is silent. I got chat ban in WoT after 2 years and i deserve much more....I don't see point here for any ban.

Not the way people use it to call names ...

But right now I can not even use F keys or the map to communicate targets and stuff like that !!

Or announce that I have to quit because of a bug that they can not fix in 3 (three!!!) weeks ...
