To be honest, I have no idea how such a thing could have happened.

But let's give it a try regardless.

For Win7: click on start, and enter in the search programs field %appdata% and click on roaming.

For Win10: right-click on start, click on run, and then enter %appdata%.

Alternatively, open windows explorer, go to the address bar, and enter %appdata%

This should open windows explorer on the appdata/roaming folder, which is where we want to be.

Scroll all the way down the page until you find the folder Wargaming.net, open it.

Inside this there should be a folder for World of Warplanes, open it.

Next, open preferences.xml in a text editing program (e.g. notepad).

Lots of scary lines of code here, but what we're looking for should be all the way at the bottom under the header <devicePreferences>.

Could you please copy and paste what it says here onto the forum?

Then we can at least see if the problem lies there or elsewhere.

Hopefully it does since that would be easy to fix.

Actually the same thing happened to me but i dont have kids and no keyboard was smashed

You have to manually clear the cache to from launch

press window and R

then copy and paste

%appdata%\wargaming.net\

And delete the WOWP folder

it then recreates the folder, but your comp thinks its the 1st time you logged on so you have to re-do all your settings

oh c**p just realised this post is almost a year old!
