Why don't the losers get materials?

Greetings fellow pilots!

 

I'm sure all of you know the feeling:

 

 

You played your heart out, but you still lost.

 

I don't mind losing as such, my team lost fair and square, it all right, but getting no materials isn't in my humble opinion. To attach a win condition in a 15 vs 15 game is a quite faulty idea, what possibly could not be frustrating about it?

 

Does anyone here like not getting materials on a loss? Why is this even in the game?

 

EDIT: Arn't medals with win conditions also a bit obsolete?

It would be very considerate and nice of WG , if they will grant some compensation to players who did excellently well in their losing team.And how does it feel to become losers if winners lose in the next battles.  Not all players are playing this wargame for the sole purpose of winning.

You can have mine btw, I got creploads and can't be ar**d to use them. I just play for being famous, not for winning.

I've seen a number of good suggestions, the best of which are anybody on the losing side yet earning an epic medal should receive materials and, the one I prefer, anybody on the losing side but with more than, say, 10,000 personal points should receive materials.  The WoWP team should be rewarding good play, not wins.

That's still rewarding failure and I side with Dr. Thomas Sowell on this....

You still display no understanding of predicate logic, of course, and the thought behind this topic is that people who play well in a game should not lack the reward of materials.  That would be especially appropriate for a game where the majority of "players" are in fact bots and winning is often not possible because one's set of bots is weak.

I beg to agree to you. The human players ranked in nr. 4 and below will make an effort to come up to rank 3rd even if their team lose in the next battles. This way, it will generally help encourage players to keep on playing, and they stlil have chances of resurrecting themselves. this will be a very human act of leniency and compassion to those who lose in spite of good effort and endeavour.  In this way life is beautiful and nice.

I remember life being beautiful and nice.  It was for about 30 seconds in June, 1979. :)

However your logic is flawed by the fact that there will literally be zero losers then.

 

The game has very low human player population at the moment and the vast majority of the time the total human population per game is approximately 6 players.

 

Humans almost always top the score card on both the winning and losing team.

 

There for, they will always win materials. So, no one will ever lose (unless they are afk or truly terrible)

 

I'm sorry. I do not like to reward failure. If you lose, dust yourself off and try again. Lets not keep creating snowflakes who like "participation" rewards.

No problem. If WG will incorporate returning system into rewards, you can always send them back due to " don´t like it" .

That wil be another forme of life.
