Reported here though because server still is not acessible to me even after update, I guess its old story, instability but  Its easier now when its for free..

Server is online and there's no any problems with it at the moment. What specifically do you mean saying it is not accessible? What message do you receive?

I'm not saying that it's great but maybe slowly they are turning into the right direction (I hope...)

"Secret Trials" is the name of the event :) It's pretty similar to the February event with the BV. 203 - Operation Order and ratings but this time Operation Order is for free and you will be able to re-activate it with all you progress if it happens to expire.

Forgive me I'm somehow confused.

You mean after 48 hours when it expires, I can re-activate it without loosing my progress for free?

Then why not just let it stay active until the end of the event until completed? What am I missing?

YOu're missing tokens needed to re-activate. Or to keep 2+2+2... days.

Not for free but for Tokens. It's 15 Tokens for reactivation IIRC.

So we better not interrupt the active mission.

15? I've seen 2 tokens for extending of the time limit for the order to be fulfilled.

So we start it for free and extend it for 2 tokens every 2 days until finish it?

I guess it depends on the time you are ready to dedicate to the mission completion. Probably reactivation saves you some Tokens if you extend its time for more than two weeks, but it's still a pleasant bonus in case you weren't able to extend in time.

2 Tokens for extension, 15 if your Operation Order expired and you want to reactivate it with all your progress saved.

I just checked, reactivation costs 5 Tokens at the moment. Apologies for misinforming :honoring:

Thanks for the previous answers to my queries.

And this is a great way to run the special orders, gives everyone a good chance to earn the prize. Well done and thank you WOWP team :)

You can let it expire and later reactivate it without loss of progress ?

Wow that's good news - that's new.

I don't like how the WoWP team configures these marathons or reward events.  Having mission steps that require a considerable slice of luck to complete, in this case the Akamatsu, the Efimov and the Kozhedub medals, can either produce frustration in players, even good ones, or have them reaching for their wallet to skip the steps whilst muttering about how cynical the WoWP team is.  The former makes the game frustrating rather than fun to play.  The latter makes people dissatisfied; nobody likes to pay money for something they thought they would have a chance of obtaining as a reward for their good play or commitment to playing.  Either way, irritating players is not a good outcome.

The comparison with the current World Of Tanks marathon for the tier 8 premium tank destroyer is instructive.  There every step can be completed either quite quickly by dint of skilful play at high tiers or by a commitment to long hours of play at lower ones.  Frustration is minimal because no step requires Lady Luck to be by your side and no player is prey to the thought they are being gouged for cash.

I would hope the WoWP team takes note.

I have following proposal,

Having now tried to get 'Efimov' with t7 & 8 (German) Attack plane aprox. ~10 hours (in matches), I have noticed following:
1. most of maps have only 4 sectors to compete with adversaries, instead of normal 5 that is usual with era III planes
2. Airbase (repairs) and Mining plant have never been included on same map while I have this mission on and flying with GA -plane (~10 hours).

3. If plant sector is included at all (very rare) other sectors are usually garrisons filled with terrain of long trees that strip away your HP's.

4. map selection is stripped to few that makes rounds dull since after a hour or 2 your are essentially looking at the same sector layout over and over again.

I understand the monetizing issue at work at here and 'special tokens' that are needed in order to advance through bottlenecks confirm it.

So... could there be an option to put mission at hold so pilots could enjoy normal map selection at least for a while? After hours of fruitless grinding it would be soothing experience to be able to play in 'normal' set of maps.

Personally I find it very questionable that in multipart mission-chain there are sections that take normal pilots days work and not succeed because imbedded restrictions and such. New pilots can never achieve these ...without paying real cash!
If WG offers a chance to fulfill mission requirements with active playing and making servers more lively place, then probability of success should be better than in lottery. Otherwise it can be said to include 2 parts: cheating prospects and milking them for all they are worth. Sounds familiar?

Guys, this Akamatsu, Efimov, Kozhedub are not even the worse in this missions. We have a mission "kill 5 aerial targets with your rear gunner in a single battle". It will be such fun...

Especially since for a while bots are programmed to disengage from chasing to escape with few hp just enough to make you smash your keyboard. I pass this event, and most likely i just give up the game for good, havent played for a week while TS-5 marathon in WoT and probably wont while frontline either. It became way too much frustration rather than fun.

Great. Just missed the "kill 15" mission by ONE, in a game where *3* human opponents quit early. When the hell is WG going to do something against that behaviour.

Do I understand correctly that you believe that during active Operation Order the list of available maps is limited?
