I was introducing my daughter to The Little Prince this evening and this followed...


Yes I know it was P-38F-5B, not J. And I know it was unpainted, with 223 on the nose. But this sepia reminds me of Africa he explored in 20s and 30s, delivering air mail and establishing flight routes - just imagine flying the regular Casablanca—Dakar route! He wrote several books on those pioneering years of flying in Africa, highly recommended
