Don't usually analyse results in this much depth to be honest but these two games I played just now don't make much sense to me in how much XP was earned in the GAA compared to the HF.

Game 1, IL40 GAA tier 9.

https://ibb.co/Y0jdtDv

I hammer this game, one of my best GAA battles ever I reckon (despite a loading bug meaning I joined a minute late!). 21 ground targets destroyed, 2 aerial opponents. Completed the three circles, won 5 tokens for achievements and medals including Efimov, Lang and Hero of the Sky. Didn't die, 17k pp and a win. Yet  I only get 89k silver and 4500xp (with 2x boost).

Game 2, F2H HF tier 9.

https://ibb.co/ZfWKzh6

A good game, got Winged Legend, 12 kills, 3 ground targets with rockets, 14k pp, no tokens earned, nothing special. Didn't fill any of the circles completely. Killed once. Yet I get 9k xp (2x boost) and 85k silver, twice as much XP as the seemingly better game I played in a GAA and as near as dammit the same amount of credits.

So what gives, this can't be right that GAA is so unrewarding compared to HF (and possibly other classes?)?

Iirc GAA/ADA xp and credit gains were balanced already a few times. They are intentionally lower, as it is much easier to rack up high scores on those planes than other planes, potentially leading to abusive farming with ADA. Also the economy model was established long time ago, with ground targets granting least amount of xp/silver per damage done - as you have multi-thousand hp targets on higher tiers, versus two-four hundred hp planes. If the gains were exactly the same point per point for ADA and other classes... You get the picture. What you see in your results is intended and balanced over a long period of time. I'm not going into detailed discussion about exact values (mainly because I know not of a verified source listing exact 'pricing' on each tier - was always kept secret by WG, and is influenced by quite a few modifiers as far as we are aware of), can't say if it's right or wrong - but it's definitely 'working as intended'.

Thank you for the explanation good sir.

Guess I'm doing my 25k base XP with GAA or HF for 10 tokens in HFs mainly then :D

Your welcome :) It's also one of the misconceptions many new players are prone to - they go for ground targets, but are unaware they earn least xp/silver while doing that. Granted, those targets don't move and at least some of them don't shoot back - but when one is not flying a GAA, the damage done is so minimal the gains are symbolic, often ending in credit loss at the end of battle.

Forget the XP, you have much better materials as reward flying the GAA.

Yes, looking at it again that is true, I rarely take any notice of that though, I've got tonnes of the things anyway and don't bother much with all the enhancing etc of equipment.

Appreciate that it's useful for those who do though :)

Perhaps some of them don't shoot back, but I find they're rather too good at ramming kills. :)

So so true! They are also extremely sneaky and shoot out tentacle-like towers or lattices at you out of a sudden - there's nothing there one second, and a big something right in front of you the next! They be dangeroussss!

Yeah, gravity sucks ...

Sometimes I make a loop at very low level and just when I think that I made it, the ground rises up and rams me ...
