I've got a couple of questions about the vampire missions.

Is it so that this is not time limited?

(If so, and it's actually a feature of the game then I must commend WG on a good decision as it does provide a solid reason to keep grinding for newcomers to the game.)

2nd question.

I've had a few of these missions where I have absolutely met the requirements for completing a section but perhaps with an aircraft that is too low tier. - is there a.minimum tier that the aircraft you are flying must be?

There is an old post on the US forums which indicates the limit might be Tier 5 and up but no confirmation.

1. So far there is no time limitation. But who knows what would future bring?

2. Requirement is that  planes must be tier IV or higher, for Vampire, XP or any other kind of airplane garbing mission. It also is limit for special events, and limit to get epic achievements (and to collect tokens for medals).

Planes of tier 1-3 are only good for daily missions, and for some events, as well as getting 3 000  personal points for daily mission for weekly crate.

Hi Ziptop,

We are not planning to remove this missions, they are permanent. So you can take your time and be not afraid of them disappearing one day :)

As for the Tier requirement, the missions are limited to Tier IV-X. Actually, this information is mentioned on the missions tab:

Spoiler

Also I would advise you to read mission requirements carefully as sometimes they have some restrictions that can remain unnoticed at first glance, like destroying planes when defending and so on. If you have any other questions I'll be happy to help!

Cheers for the info.

I'm glad this is a permanent feature. It actually serves as an interesting incentive to new players or those rejoining the game after some absence to have something like this as a long term goal.

Also, the Vampire is friggin amasing.IMHO it's probably the best tier 8 premium I've ever played. You fear naught when flying this plane. Once specialised it's even better.

I'm always wondering if there's any better tier 8 plane at all. I don't have it yet, but it seems like an auto-win thingy to me.

If this type of gameplay suits you - it will be a BEAST in your hands. I'm also gathering my gold for XP-58 heavy on tier 8. Should also rip things apart when flying it the right way (TnB).

TnB with XP-58? I would like very much to be your opponent  :teethhappy:

(the ripping part is right, tough)

While the Vampire is a great plane, it's by no means 'the best' t8. It's not only about stats, but MM (you often get into t9 fights) and playerbase (you get quite a few experienced people at this tier). Also, think about meta - Spitfire XIV is there too, and there are people in love with the line. I'm not saying Vampire isn't good - but there are planes it struggles against. I'm sure you will like it though once you do the missions, it's worth it.

glad to meet you guys in my XF5U :honoring: - but yeah the Vampire is a beast!
There is an art to flying, or rather a knack. The knack lies in learning how to throw yourself at the ground and miss. ... Clearly, it is this second part, the missing, that presents the difficulties (Douglas Adams - Hitchhikers Guide to the Galaxy)

My mistake Zen :)

Of course XP-58 as a heavy needs to be played in a different way than TnB :)

Interestingly enough though, specialized XP-58 can go both ways, into speed or into maneuverability. Rate of roll is very high on this plane, and when specced for turning, this thing can surprise (very light controls and awesome roll). Still, it's a HF and it's not Japanese - it's a very agile whale, so to speak *wink*

I am glad off the no time limit   can't remember when I last got an ace  and killed 15 bombers its going to be ages but fun

ps  an ace is when you kill 5  not the 20  as set in game  which is hard as you get 15 to play one each side  and if the 15 on your side are good bots ??? no chance

For the bombers, fly in a heavy fighter, and concentrate on them, most battles have at least 2 enemy bombers, shouldn't take more than 4-5 battles to get the 15 kills.

For the Ace, that's what tokens are for.

Or a heavy when enemy holds Command Centers.

Or just use tokens.like I did on day 1.

What like I'm supposed to do the campaigns like some kinda ordinary bum.

That just ain't my style.
