Huzzah!

A full event that is exclusive to those who have researched a specific and kind of remote line of planes.

And too bad for those who have not because it is hardly realistic that there will be time to grind yourself to any of the planes in time for the event.

Really!

I totally agree with you. J7Ws are high tier, so not everyone is able to participate in the event. Lightning vs Friedrichwas a similar event, but tier 5 is much more accessible plus we had the opportunity to pick from two planes from two different tech trees. I'm pretty sure it will be easy to achieve a good place, because many people will ignore this event.

I don't see the problem.

Previous events were for British heavies (Mosquito, Hornet) and Bf 109F vs Lightning ... also planes that are not extremely popular.

And indeed, not so many people like flying 20 battles with same plane so it's not too difficult to get a high rating. I got prizes in both events.

Looking forward to it .. hope I got time for 20 battles.

Yes, WG is trying to make these events with unpopular planes, I'm OK with this. In this weekend's event we have to choose one of 3 planes from the same tech line. In previous ones we were choosing one of 2 different nations/tech trees so you can pick your best from the options. Now if someone hates J7W he will ignore the event for sure and waste the rewards. The plane's tier was lower. For example, everyone can go up to t5 and buy the plane from tier 5/6 in the 3-4 days before the event. In this case it's impossible someone to reach tier 8 without wasting free XP.

Glad you can see some good opportunities for yourself.

The problem is that the event is not for everybody - can you really not see that as a problem?

I would say at least for WG it should be a problem that not all or at least most of their customers should be able to participate.

If you personally don't give a .... about other players, well that will only be your problem the day so many of us gets so tired of it that you will have to play against BOTs exclusively. :child:

Well, there are events that are not for me too.

Like the monthly legendary pilot event and ops orders and missions that require you to fly 10 hours a day ... so yeah, you win some, you lose some.

No, I don't have any of the promoted planes. And no, I don't have the slightest issue with this event. Even though all the rewards are really tempting.

The Personal Ratings event that ended yesterday was more annoying to me, because it was mainly about who could spend the most hours of playing.

I understand the event (to get less played aircraft played more, as any high tier JPN aircraft are rare to be seen), but not the main prize,  If you like JPN aircraft, and have got to tier 10, pretty sure you would have picked up all the premiums along the way, this event would make more sense if the tiers involved were lower, or maybe have a low tier event running in tandem, where the prize was a discount of the higher tier tech tree aircraft research, similar to WoT blueprints?

So these are the discounts for the weekend, or they still haven't put the information of any discount this weekend

It is difficult for them to put paintings and logos on sale.

I only have Germans, this event I can't take advantage of.

Wow, guess I'm lucky for going down this line first. Liking Japan has its benefits! :D:kamikaze:

So far I'm doing reasonably well ... 11 victories in 15 battles and 13 times in top 3 of team. Scores from 5 - 12k.

The Shindens are better than I remembered. That's the fun part of these events ; you're "forced" to fly planes you're not really comfortable with.

I specced the J7W1 and put special project equipment on, just to see how good you can make it.

Don't normally enjoy playing the same plane over and over but the 'Flying Catfish' are good fun, zoom in to a cap zone, drop your eggs for a couple of easy ground target kills then engage ADA or other enemies. Also helps with my grind on the tier 9. Nice event WG, if more than a little unfair on those who haven't got tier 8+ aircraft.

The highest personal points I managed to achieve so far was above 17000, I can't remember the exact number but I'd say it's a pretty good result.

I've seen pilots score over 20k. Especially in the J7W3

Scores in J7W1 and 2 are lower from what I saw. I doubt if I even make it to the ratings, average only about 10k ...

Same here. I did like 5-6 games with average 10k just to participate in case top 30 is not full of players.

  • You must play at least 20 battles on any of the listed aircraft and score at least 3,000 personal points in each battle.

I'm happy that some players did enjoy s little event. The JW7s needed some love :izmena:

Don't be discouraged it's not the last event for us, we'll have even more in the future. :)

For JW7s to get some love they need their maneuverability back otherwise they are sitting ducks to almost all fighters in the game. Guns alone cannot help a plane with no speed. no maneuverability and no altitude. You cannot use guns if you cannot aim them on something turning. There use to be a balance between guns and maneuverability and on the other side altitude and speed. Now guns alone make this once interesting plane to play an easy target for all. I never play it...not enjoyable knowing you will get shot down over and over again in every game.
