Bah I get owned in Frontline so hard, I may actually prefer quiet uneventfull (pun intended) specializing of Seafang and grinding to Hunter.

The trick in Frontline is just to cause damage, decap or cap....winning is not important at all.

I truly understand that additional tracking in the game client will be not only convenient but can also attract more players, still, it's not possible, unfortunately. See, it's that kind of event like similar previous ones (Friedrich vs Lightning, For King and Country, etc.) that are created on the side of the Community team. In-game ratings require a full development process together with an update to switch them on and off. This type of events, on the other side, doesn't depend on additional conditions.

I'm happy that some of you decided to give it a shot, and I'm anxiously waiting for the results of the first of six events with you :medal:

I used this event to specialise my A6M1 and to research the T5 japanese heavy fighter (I did oversee for a long time, that you can research it over the A6M1 and that I have the A6M1 still in the hangar).

But to the topic: I see only a little numbers of playing the required planes (on T3-T5) and most of the players seems to be "normal players" who just do there normal grind and getting really low PP for destroying planes.

@Blindfold: There is progress tracking in the secret trials events, why do you not use this system as a basic for a tracking system for this event?

Perhaps read what I was specifically replying to first.

Obviously I read what you were replying too and took the oportunity since the topic was on "rigged" mm and how this is always blamed for loses to point out what I think of match making. The fact that you imlpy that I did not read or understand the whole conversation is kind of insulting, don't you think? Or do you feel you own the forum and have the right to respond this way?

I'm not asking to be given something for nothing, I'm asking for an incentive to play, which this event does not provide. You veterans at the top can slug it out if you like but us normal players won't get close. Just a regular 3 months for us.

Interesting that you are so negative about this event yet were screaming about bad teams and repeatedly typing "bye" with a few points in your spitfire only a few days later. How many games did you rage quit over the weekend?I saw you quit 4, You do realise there was no win condition attached to points so even a loss could make a respectable contribution if you played well or indeed in your case at all....

Personally as a new player and not very good player with under 500 games this event isn't about getting the big rewards, though I'll give it a good try. Rather picking up a few bits and pieces when I'm able to play at weekends. One thing that would really help newer players with limited hangar slots and lines researched is if the upcoming dates and Aircraft required were posted in advance so we had a chance to research elite the relevant planes and at least train a passable pilot.

This question is answered in my post just above yours. Secret Trials do require a full development process together with the deployment of an update. These events are created and held on the side of the Community team.

They are announced earlier. Announcements about events appear on Tuesday while events start on Friday. Previous events were posted just before their start, and we received some similar feedback so announcements now appear much earlier to give some time for players to research and purchase needed aircraft.

I am really curious about results of the first campaign part. Not because "What did I win?" - nothing, but I am curious about "mastery" tresholds. Because, to get anything at all, and since "perserverance" is not on the table, because other things I have to do, I have to make my sum of 10 best results to be in top 30 sums. I hear you people talking about 20K PP average ... thats waaaay above my head. On the other hand, even 1 such top 30 gets me a nice P-36C I do not have. I would be happy with the curtiss, maybe even more than with that ugly-pugly goblin flea.

TLDR: give us results :)

But only PP for 'destroying aerial targets' count ... and often that's just a fraction of total PP.

Dont forget addicts exclude themselves from one of the categories. Lets say some guy scored 10x17k PP, and he is 3rd in mastery. But he did play 125 battles in that plane over those 3 days, so he is kinda number 1 in perseverence. Then he is automatically deleted from the mastery list of winners where he is 3rd.

You people keep talking about total PP from battle here - it is not the case in this event. It's only PP for air kills. One can have 18k or 20k as battle score, but the actual PP amount for kills (excluding 'damage to planes') will be around 3k, maybe 4k. If you look at your detailed points breakdown after battles, you'll see this evens the field out quite much.

Im sure people talk about games with 17K+ because those are good games where you actually have a chance to have scored decent killing score. Games with less than 10k you probably didnt killed more than 3-4 planes  anyway :)

Being a sad individual, I kept track of my PP for kills as a percentage of my total PP over the weekend and it ranged from 8% to 22% with the average being around 16% (on a sample size of around 50)

I remember the 8% game - it was a truly horrible slaughter and for the 22%, I must have been kill-stealing like crazy!

The first stage has ended, still, the Fall Campaign race continues! Your number of collected chevrons can be found in the article dedicated to the Campaign, and results of the first battle are posted here. Good hunting!

No thanks !!! Maybe if we could track progress in the game, but if this is not possible then the game is not worth the candle.

Put in much more time than I am prepared to do again and still did not get the full amount of chevrons. Sorry, but I'm out.
