my best battle, but how many factors influenced this result, don't ask ...

Well ...and I chose the HG III... yup, all hope is gone. All of it.

and it was a flight battle so your wingman could have softened them up for you, not that it matters now, but still... why didn't I think of that?

Congratulations anyway.

Ps. wow! they made WoWp in klingon too? why so many letters to write "victory"? :teethhappy:

Wow, just wow. I believe this is most cap points I have ever seen. Guys, can anyone of you beat that?

Yes I can. But I won't spend my life trying to find out how much time it would take to repeat that performance. You better ask him if he can  do it again.  But when the game feeds you targets, why say no?

If I would have been on the enemy team that would never have happened.

Don't pay attention to me, I'm too tired. Congratulations to all participants. And many thanks to those who tried to make things harder for me.

One more stage finished only one to go...

This was fun. Finally, results are easy to find - total CPs earned in-game.

My brother Sgt_Cyb and I before this stage discussed and hoped that Hevys will be in this stage but we missed the prize - I was hoping that VB10 will be one of them, and actually I guessed correctly that the other one would be Japanese Ki 94-I. But I already have Ki 94-I and did not have Eagle so it was logical to play for it. Another thing that pushed us to play on US/British side is great reloading time for explosive ordnance on British planes and decent on P38F/J. So our intention was to use the full abilities of those Heavys because we know that Japanese Ki102 is probably the best fighter among the Heavys (considered the tiers and everything), but bombs on that line are so weak that they are better not to use.

It was boring to play all three days with one plane - what we saw that a lot of players did - we changed the planes often. Beaufighter with P38F in flight, Mosquito with P38J and for tier VIII 2 x 1056. And we played just a few on tier X with XF90s. We manage to avoid that "tirednes" factor with this mix tier play.

But our results were not that high and we are out of the mastery competition for sure. My best game was 715 CP and my top 10 games were just 6,285...what, I think, is to low for mastery ladder. My average was around 400 CP on 167 played games. and with this persistence, we hope to stay in the race for Goblin. I'm Happy that I lose only 29 from that 167 games what was nearly 83% of victories.

Thx WG for the great event - I hope that after the Fall Campaign you are preparing something for Winter.

Sry if this post was boring If is too much to read - skip it.

Se you guys on Cyber Sky.

Bwahahaha this was so fun(to read the way you described it). Welcome to reality mate! I've never read anything sounding closer to anyone (who's apparently been fed with silver spoon) facing hardship for the first time. People usually face that process within the first 7 years of their lives.

On the event: This time for me it was kind of fun. I played very little(35 battles), as I had real life things to do, with little expectations. The result isn't great by any stretch of the imagination, but I didn't waste any hair either. I didn't care to win more then 1-2 chevrons, so I wasn't disappointed by not getting perfect games. I played to the best of my abilities and I owe thanks to nothing else for whatever I managed to achieve.

On the good side participation seemed higher this time. At least people that played eligible planes that is.

You didn't lose hair? Now that's a gain to be considered. Too late for me I guess.:D

Congrats!

I think main factors are here: skills of course, and 10:34 !

When most of the parties are ending after 3 or 4 minutes in tier 5-6-7, it's a little bit harder to compete for mastery...

I don't know about higher tiers during this event, if people can give feed-back for tiers 8-9-10?

I quit tier 8-9-10 because I think saw bug in game, developers or someone obviously forgot that Do 335 has speed similar like Me262 and Ho 229 etc, and I had ridiculously situations that even Spit XIV catch me across whole map on BnZ tactic, what can not be, even to Ho229 should be hard to catch Do335 (and it catch me with 2-3 times faster speed after turn) in BnZ tactic if he do turn when you attack him and he is not carefull, not to mention Spit XIV and other lights. That s why Do 335 has other disadvantages and  should have at least speed, but no! So obviously it s bug.. Basically as there is already heavy Me262 etc. in game, Do335 should stay out of tech tree like Ho229, as a reward plane only, or at least give Do335 speed which it has and should be possible to run away, ofcourse if you attack properly..

I didn't fly anymore on Sunday evening ... just got fed up with the terrible matchmaking, hunter-killer bots and short roflstomp battles.

WoWP team, please NEVER run an event like this again.  It was so dispiriting seeing players forced to fly their heavies like morons, not trying to do their proper jobs, but instead chasing capture points, all weekend.  I’ve never seen so much bad play by supposedly good players.

Had a couple of bad games against you last night :D Took me a few games to find my rhythm.....

Surely chasing (offensive) capture points IS the way we should be playing the game, in any type of aircraft? I didn't see anyone making silly efforts chasing defensive CP in heavies, from memory. Personally I ditched the ordinance from my heavies and chased kill CPs for the most part and made a handful of opportunistic strafing runs in the heavier armed HFs. Did see a few comments along the same lines in game from various players though, on a chat ban so couldn't ask what the issue was :)

Fell in love with the tier 10 American HF, going to be an absolute beast after I finishing specialising it. Even managed some good games in the Javelin for a change!

After reading this topic and seeing some of the players' results, I just realized that I will not even get enough chevrons to acquire the airacobra that I wanted, after the event will be finished.

So, what I did during the event (besides cursing sometimes and raging - same as one of the colleagues some posts before me)? I just used the event to get two of HFs to specialist. :D

At least I got something good out of it, together with some medals and masteries.

That was the case for previous events, so I would say yes.

You know there will be another (6th and last) phase next week ?

I didn't think I would get any chevrons, but I played only 2 phases (missed the other 2) and got 3 chevrons !!

I know there is a last one but there is a problem: I have only 4 chevrons and for Airacobra are needed at least 9, so... :sceptic:

On the bright side, I will receive the gold compensation for the previous one that I already have (at least I hope :D ).
