Game Crash issue

When I go to my 'Pilot Personal File' and click 'Accelerate' the game crashes. As in it shuts down completely, goes back to windows and I must restart the game. It's not a one time event issue. I can repeat it several times in a row.

 

Has anybody else experienced this bug ?

Is that the same as selecting "crew" from the menu and selecting "accelerate crew training" under the crew pictures ??

no that's not the same. Go into the Pilot Personal File where all your pilot skills are selected. There you can accelerate your pilot skills by exchanging free experience for pilot experience. But when i click the Accelerate button, the game just crashes. It's sill happening every time. Doesn't matter whether I clear the cache or not.

 

this is just great. Finally gathered enough free experience to upgrade my pilot skills, but now i still can't because the game keeps crashing. this is so bad again. Can WG still blame me for being disappointed ?

Hi,

 

First of all, I would recommend you to use check and repair tool in the WGC settings. If it doesn't help you can also try re-installing the game client. 

 

The second option is reinstalling the client together with a few additional steps.

 

After uninstalling the game client, clear the files in your AppData directory, as uninstalling a client doesn't clear user's data.

 

Just press Win+R and type/copypaste the line "AppData\Roaming\wargaming.net\World of Warplanes" press Enter. Delete everything from that folder. Also, you can manually clear the cache after that -> Win+R  "AppData\Local\Temp\wargaming.net\wowp", delete everything in that folder as well.

 

Install the game-client once again and please check if it helps. If these steps don't help you, please contact Customer Support.

Ah, there.

I frequently use that without problems.

Is it your F2H pilot with 14 skill points going for the 15th ??

There's also a separate "check and repair" tool available outside of the game centre, which I find to be more effective than that one.  Though it looks like it's for World Of Tanks it works on WoWP too.
