It is better for wg to start considering the sale of materials.
Airframe elements and mechanical parts start to get huge.
Continuing like this i'll open an hardware store soon.:)

I’m rather surprised this hasn’t been done already.  Since I hardly play GAAs or bombers I”m perennially short of one of the materials and would consider buying some if reasonably priced.

I think Caldy means selling unused parts for credits, although both ideas would be welcome.

There was a similar situation in Elite Dangerous when they introduced Engineering your components & ships, with a black-jack roulette results - you could waste enormous amounts of painstakingly acquired materials for nothing, the upgrading results were random.

 

The players raged and plead, and the developers finally succumbed: made a barter of materials. Depending on the difficulty in acquiring, you could swap 4 X for 1 Y, or 16 Z for 1 Y etc. And it solved the frustration.

 

Same could be applied here.

Yep, you might call it breaking down for desired ones too. I for one would gladly break up / swap, dunno, 10 Airframe Elements for 1 Mechanical parts and so on.

Selling materials is kind of a pay to win aspect.

Just use your Mastercard skills regardless what player you are, boost up a plane in seconds and profit. Dumb as hell idea.

 

The solution is much easier.

1st.: Let at least the top three (or top five) players of the losing team to get the same amount of materials just like if they win. (The current rule that says only the winner team members can get materials is one of the most unfair and disgusting part of the whole equipment system.)

2nd.: Enable the option to brake down materials that are not in common use and make others by them in a ratio depending on their rarity.
