And there goes my question

.

The skill is activated automatically once per battle and remains effective until the end of the battle.

If the description is true, it is active even after I was destroyed and respawned into new sortie. But I would like to know, if it really works like this, or is just mistakenly described...

How i understand it: "when the aircraft looses 50% of its hipoints"

That means if you are shot, you respawn with full HP, which should reset the skill too.

I guess the part where they say "remains until the end of the battle" is the description from 1.9 - which has not been changed with 2.0 and later versions.

But thats just a guess in fact i should try it out.

There is an art to flying, or rather a knack. The knack lies in learning how to throw yourself at the ground and miss. ... Clearly, it is this second part, the missing, that presents the difficulties (Douglas Adams - Hitchhikers Guide to the Galaxy)

Thanks for the correction.  Unfortunately, that still, in my opinion, makes it fairly useless to move these pilots to other aircraft.

Correct me if I'm wrong, but IIRC those skills do work only on the planes for which the girls were trained for when they came.

I don't have them and if i recall right, that was the reason I haven't bought them.

Were the skills ever working when you moved / retrained them for some other plane?

Female pilots' skills work on any aircraft. You can move them to any plane, retrain and safely use their special skills.

Well, it's obvious though, that a skill triggered only when you use rockets, for example, won't work on planes that don't have any rockets.

I can only talk for my own experience with Mary and Charlotte (Marina is not on duty so often)

It seems the skill indicator is bugged, which means sometimes it shows the skill as active (with acoustic and optic signal) and sometimes not.

But at least showing up or not, the skills work for both Pilots work properly on every plane ( they were on duty in a lot of different planes so far)

"the skill works for both pilots works properly on every plane" hmmm...and how do you know if there is no feedback? If the indicator is bugged the skill is bugged, period

For the record, when I say I don't think it's a good idea to move pilots to another aircraft, I was talking about the two Dunkirk pilots.  The Valkyries can be moved to any aircraft in you wish to use their skills, but they're fairly nugatory wherever you put them.

Not any aircraft, but to train them faster it can be useful to put them in a premium aircraft of that nation

True, but given they have so many skill points already it's going to be a long, slow grind training them wherever you put them.

Marina in a fully specced il 40P  is very fun to play

She was.  When the "burn it all down, baby" skill was nerfed she stopped being any fun, in my opinion.

I've got her in the IL-40, but I think I'll move her to another GA ; the guns on the IL-40 don't start fires, they obliterate stuff. Heard that she is very good on the LBSh ...

Seems the Final Dash of Charles Donovan is also bugged...

Or there is no indicator at all?

Who knows?  Candidly, that skill is hardly needed in this plane anyway.

Only skill icons are bugged. Skills do work.
