Apart from the infamous joystick bug (where in some battles the stick didn't work) I never had any real problems. Setup is a doddle, I used 4 different sticks in Wowp over the years and all worked.

I never said that joysticks are better, but I've been using them since I started flying AirWarrior in the 90's and games like Elite, Crimson Skies, IL-2 ... can't imagine using m/k for flying. Tried it and it just didn't feel right.

 

The missing auto-flap and front-view are inconveniences ... 

Btw, when do you experience 'speed bleed' with auto-flap ?? When I fly cruise or top speed (not boost) my flaps are up, only when I really slow down, I see the flaps deploy, but it could be only graphical cause I don't seen to slow down.

I think I do, some of my A-C are dead slow even full throttle and 5/10* nose down, they don't feel like Fighters.

Yup, there is a lot in this which is nicely optimised for Mouse players. Seems this flaps thing might be one of these oversights too. 

However, I'm with GonerNL on this, As an old school gamer with decades spent using a joystick it just feels more natural for me.

 

I have however never noticed random flap deployment (or it being a problem if it actually does happen)- I'll check later.

I also use sticks, been playing flight sims for ages, from the old Jane's Fighter anthology or Israeli Air Force.

 

I tried everything, the flaps still hang down but it is random, so I have no clue why and what to do, I'll probably post another ticket just in case they can figure out something.
