I need 2 of these in the next step for the Vampire. I have received 9 in the past but unfortunately the profile stat viewer in game does not reveal (as far as I can tell) which planes achieved them . Which type of plane would you suggest is the most straightforward to get the 450 capture points? From my rather shallow testing HF seems to be easy to get to about 250 (just a/c kills) whereas MR do less well with a mixture of aerial kills and ground target attacks.

Addendum!  - I realised I don't know which capture points actually count here i.e. there are 2 capture point values listed in the Personal Score section of the post battle results screen. One (the higher value shown in small text  when you hover over "capture points") totals all capture points - say from  killing whilst attacking or defending. The lower value (the larger text in the 3 objectives part of the results screen)   just counts the capture relevant to the plane type e.g.  defending kills only.

 

Which is the key figure here when trying to get the achievement?

 

Think I managed it in a tier 7 MR - though it also could have been a tier 9 GAA - certainly depends on luck as to whether you're up tiered or down tiered in battle and the state of your plane and pilot.  Think towards the end of my time in the Typhoon I was getting them regularly - just lucky on my team, maps, etc.

Thanks dapprman - will include GAAs in my attempts. So far my teams have been too good - capturing everything really quickly - no time to accumulate points lol!

It should be both types of capture points, I had a few games were I got conqueror and guardian. The planes which worked best for me are some GAA (faster ones like the german ones from Me265 or the IL-10) and fast HF (Germans, American, Japanese). Also you need the right map for it.

Thanks Mariu - will keep trying with those (IL 10 and XP58 I think). I am going through a rough piloting patch at the moment but will persist!

I don't think you can get the Conqueror with GA ... only multi-roles and heavies. 

Award is related to one of those type-specific missions ; sector attack. This has been discussed before, I'll see if I can find it.

From my earlier help received  when trying to get the Flying Raider badge I gather that particular Badges can only be obtained by particular a/c types. However - I think - the Conqueror and Guardian (as distinct from the Flying Guardian Badge) things are achievements (not badges) so aren't automatically tied to a plane type as such? Just trying to figure it  out but not getting on well. Thanks for hunting info out for this - much appreciated!

 

 

It's a pity you can not check ingame which awards you got with which plane. Only totals.

I think Conqueror is universal, you "just" have to make 450 cap points.

 

You can earn it with GAA:

 

Like Zen said you just need to earn the 450 capture points, doesn't matter if it's defending or attacking points as long as your capture points total are over 450.

 

@Dhansak what you can try in the XP-58 is sitting above a Mining Plant near the red spawn and kill the bombers/GAA especially if both are bots. The bots normally keep attacking tje sa,e place and you can rack-up defending points pretty good.

That way is good, of you can try the simplest/easiest one: mid-to-high tier Fighter, on a map with a repairable air base in the middle. Cap it, stay there, defend-repair-defend-depair... voila, Conqueror.

Yeah, has to be an award for all plane-types ... Just checked ; I've got 277 of them, many more than the type specific awards for sector attack.

Also I need to up my game - at the moment my brain seems to have forgotten the lead required on all my guns except MGs. I had got a reasonable handle on the 20mms, 30s and 37s - after a little bit of play time to synch in.  Then I can sometimes hit things    Past 48 hours though? - Nope!  

 

Deep sigh - tomorrow is another day lol.

 

 

Well I didn't do so well - but never mind - have used tokens to hop past....

If you have Ju88a the one of the best map for conqueror is the one with 4 garrison and 1 airfield in the middle. No one gets too much advantage and you can sweep round the outside 4, while all fight over the middle. these games can last a while and flip easy. another good one is all 5 garrison.

Thanks paradigmshift. Unfortunately I couldn't get my mojo together for conqueror awards so shamefacedly used tokens instead .....

 

However I have just bought the JU88a and am about to research how best to do the Doolittle medal for the next Vampire step. Don't be surprised to see a new thread on this one! Cheers for now.
