Yes.

HG II is all i hoped 262 would be.

Most wonderful guns, both secon and the third. Guns that hit. Flies like a dream. Got AA rockets. GREAT plane.

Why don't you compare both planes? (See https://worldofwarplanes.eu/warplanes/compare/)
Check here the ELITE versions without skills and equipment.

Ok, may be the data are a little bit old and not always correctf but generally ....
... and your question was rather generally, too.

I only put this data in for people who are beginners or do not really know where to get information.
Pilots like Goner should know where to find it.

The German fighter line is absolutely NOT a good choice until you understand that it is not a turn fighter.  Since most new players only understand close quarters turn fighting, if you jump into the Bf 109 B at tier 4 and try turn fighting you'll quickly become disillusioned.  If you are the average new player, leave this line alone until you're ready to try different playing styles and to watch some videos on "high energy" fighting.  It's at that point you can try your hand at high altitude heavy fighters for your third playing style.

In the meantime, try your hand at the turn fighters, the Japanese, the Yak-1 line and the Spitfires.

This is absolutely the worst advice. You will never learn how to play energy fighters in Yaks! The reason why you MUST fly German fighters is to LEARN how to fly planes that aren't turn fighters. If you start with turn fighters, you won't be able to play anything else, and you will always remain bad player. If you listen this advice you will play Spitfires to the remain of your life, and once you hit tier 8, you will quit the game!

^^What he said.

As a new player who hasn't spent much money(or any) yet.....you can just play at least one game a day that scores over 3000 personal points(quite a low bar).....and you can get Gold, free XP, modules, etc....or even free premium planes(of which there are many). I managed to get quite a few free ones over the course of a year...but one still eludes me....the Hurricane IID, I'm willing to wait, it's only a matter of time. Even so, in this year alone, I've collected over 6,000 gold(free)...which gives you a choice of quite a few good premium planes from the tech tree.

PS:- Tomorrow is Sunday....I'll play one game and get a free crate to open as I've played one game everyday since Monday(reaching the 3000 personal point cap in each)...what will the surprise be?

Please post your loot. I wanna what is in those crates.

Tnx for the advice.

Yesterday I was try harding the FW 57 and was really trying to get 3rd Grade in 3 battles.

I had lost every single game till then.

Then I started watching some YT and managed to get 1 full grade 1 3rd grade and 1 4th grade and won all 3 battles in a row.

What YT channels do you recommend to learn about those things you mentioned, energy fighting and all that because right now I have no idea what you're talking about.

This game come from Kiev, Ukraine. I dare you to go there and call them Russians.

If we are getting picky, its from Minsk, Belorussia.

From Wiki: Wargaming Group Limited (also known as Wargaming.net) is a Belarusian video game company headquartered in Nicosia, Cyprus. The group operates across more than 20 offices globally and development studios, the largest of which is located in Minsk, where the company originated from. Initially focused on turn-based strategy and real-time strategy games, Wargaming switched to developing free-to-play online action games in 2009, including the military-themed team-based game World of Tanks, and later World of Warships and [World of Warplanes]

So its not Russian but it certainly isn't Ukrainian. Cheers dits.

No it is not. Wargaming from Minsk is publisher, not developer of the game. They hired company named Persha Studia from Kiev to develop this game. So game is from Ukraine.

Where to start ?

Here's my breakdown

step 1- Learning to fly and fight at close quarters: British fighters, to the Spitfire at tier V. It can turn, it has rather good guns, and good engine. Zero trade-off, zero handicap. Dive into the fray and kill. That's the number 1 no-brainer. You don't need to know the enemy aircraft, you pretty much can out-turn them all. Learn about the interface, the mini-map, deflection fire, and how to select enemies (go for the fighters, not for the multi-roles or attack aircraft). Alternatively, pick the Polikarpov i-17, but its bleeds energy quickly and you struggle versus tier Vs.

step 2- Once you know how to fight at low altitude, you may want to start learning tactics and classes and how to pick your fights. The early German line is good, until tier V (later, you are shafted). Or you go the Soviet Mig line (things also get complicated after tier V). In this phase, you are not the best turner of the battle, so you must start picking your fights. By now, you know most of the aircraft types, and you understand the differences in classes. You can out-turn everything but the Spits and Japanese, so the avoid-category is rather small. You burn everything else: multi-roles, heavies, even bombers (at last). You may even escort your bombers around. Use those planes to understand tactics, it is important. By now you are also ready to use the Function keys to direct bots where they are needed -use that F7 key when a Spit is on you too.

step 3- Once you are an expert at tier V, you may embark on the splendid journey of the heavy fighter planes. This way you will learn about strategy. Pick the British line, that leads up to the Beaufighter. Skip the Skua with points -don't do that to yourself. By now, you are ready to become the top predator, perched at the very tip of the food chain. Fly high, pick your targets, move around quickly around the map. That's were you learn strategy: applying your force multiplier where it matters. By now you must know every plane up to tier V, how high it can go, how far its gun reach, and how people pilot them. Avoid going low, burn the bombers, dive and flip the bases in a few seconds with your fearsome firepower. You can even eliminate all other heavies. Play heavies to improve your vision of the battlefield, as you fly high out of the furball.

step 4- You are bored of downing planes ? Start the Soviet Ground attack line. Explosions, bombs, rockets, rear gunners defending your flaming buttt, it may be frustrating before tier IV, but it gets really fun afterwards. In this step, you will learn to read the dynamic of the map, see where you are needed. As you go slow and low, you must be ahead of the curve, and guess how the bases will be by the time you arrive there. Avoid enemies, and do your stuff.

step 5- don't do multi-roles, they are the hardest are are reserved for the veterans looking for a challenge. You will never do well in those until you get quite good.

step 6- Don't do bombers.

Once you have done all these until tier V (don't go farther until you are consistently in the top three 90% of the time !!), you are free to choose the way that gives you the best thrills.

I would keep clear of the Japanese at the start -they are too fragile. I also dislike the German aircraft in general, their mixed armament is difficult. Avoid sniper planes with low rate-of-fire too or planes with very  low firepower (like the Yaks, say). I love the Japanese heavies (tier VI rules), but the road is a bit rocky until there.

That's my step-by-step road to the skies, at least until middle-tier. After that, ask ApartClassic :)

By American T4 do you mean that F4 line?
What about tier 8 and higher? What do you recommend?

And if I wanted to spend money I'd spent it on premium account rather than work my a*s off for tokens.

It's not that I don't want to, It's because I live in a country with crushed economy and full-time job with only 100$ a month paycheck. Can't afford to spend money on the game.

I mean the Curtis P 36 with 2x12.7 mm and 4x7.36 mm guns then follows the P 40 with 6 12.7 mm guns. The line you are talking about is not so bad as a multirole. American planes got a limited maneuverability like most German planes but strong engines and good speed and altitude and better stability as the Mes but that might be my personal point of view, because I make them strong and movable on cost of stability. Got several planes in T8 and many players don't  like the 30 mm guns of many German planes. At the end of the war they were almost armed to kill bombers ore designed to safe resources.  Many players  prefer the 4x20 mm of the most English and American planes. I mean it will take years to reach T8 and I would not spend 10% of my income for this game. If you still need a premium account to make enough money stay in a lower tier. I do so on the American server and got as much fun there as I'm having here.

Or you can check the whole list over here (Unique Supplies spoiler) :)

Personally, I would vote for the Messerschmitt line if you want to learn certain things and the Spitfires if you need some simple fun. Probably, you should pay some attention to the Vampire's missions. It's a beast and a beauty! My favorites at middle tiers are the Hurricane, A6M3-30 and Beaufighter though.

So when I complete 1 week of daily missions and get a crate, it could be any of those crates?
And it could have any combination of rewards?
