Search for the WorldOfWarplanes.exe on your harddisk, right-click it with your mouse. Select properties. Look for the "compatibility" tab, select it. Set the Windows 7 compatibility mode. This method works usually.

If it was just one aircraft this does happen. (Imagine the aircraft entered clouds and was set to invisible because of that and this setting does not immediately get reset for your view of that aircraft....)

 

If it was all the aircraft on the map! I have never seen that!
