Guessing this is a re-skinned IM version?

What happens if you purchase this, and already have the IM version, do you get this as a separate unique aircraft?

Gold compensation ?

The webshop says; Available for you 1 ... so why would they offer gold compensation ? There's only 1 way you could already have this plane.

If you purchase a bundle with an aircraft that you already have, you will receive all the items from this bundle except the Hangar slot, the crew, and the aircraft itself. Instead, you will be compensated with the following amount of gold: 3,700zoloto_01.png for the Supermarine Spitfire Vb (3,400zoloto_01.pngfor the aircraft + 300zoloto_01.pngfor the Hangar slot)

Correctly observed, GonerNL, assuming nobody buys the bundle twice!  Fortunately in me you have somebody foolish enough to pay £19 and with the Spitfire Vb IM in his hangar to find out.  The answer is, as I expected since this plane carries a different ID to the Vb IM, that you get this plane added to your hangar as well.

How very disappointing that this plane isn't the reward for a marathon, though note the same was done with the Twin Mustang.  That leaves just one plane to come into the game of which we know, the I-21.  Prior to this morning I would have said that would likely be the reward for a marathon on WoWP's forthcoming birthday or at Christmas.  Now I'm not so sure.

On one of the crates in this bundle I had the wearisome crash when opening it.  If it weren't for the fact I noticed on logging back into the game that I had premium time (something I no longer buy, generally) once again I would have had no idea what was in that crate.  I know there is hardly anyone working on the game but, come on, how hard would that be to fix?

For collectors who are thoroughly invested I suppose this sort of makes sense.

But it's half the price of a newly released full AAA game and it's the same price as many "older" AAA title's on the Steam or Epic stores. (Indeed at time of writing its more expensive than the full Cliffs of Dover Blitz game)

This kind of money on a game where there has been no real evidence of development or even maintenance for quite some time?

I'm not sure it even makes sense for collectors, amongst whose number I am.  The word I used is "foolish" because, not long from now, our expensively assembled collections are going to turn to the equivalent of pixel dust.  The only reason to spend money is to suggest to Kislyi it's worth keeping the game going a little longer, really.

The plane got 2 20mm and 4 Brownings.303. Is there any advantage compared to the Spitfire V in the game? I mean 5 or six Spitfires are enough. With 5 Skill points I would buy it. It's the same with the nimble fighter and the current offer for the Me 210 in T5.

Nope, just compared them ; tech tree Spit has even better speed and climbing rate.

Only advantage of the Vb is that you can train pilot faster ...
