Also nice to have, though I can't escape the feeling WG is trying to generate cash wrt to the premiums and bearing in mind what's going on in their other games.  Nonetheless, a discount is always good and it's excellent for those of you grinding your way up the lines.

Not enough discount ... I'm not buying.

There are some higher tier premiums that I'd like, but only 20% off ?? Nah ...

Mmmmm, one question...

Could the discounts change the compensation rules of the two monthly missions "Strategic Offensive" and "Crown Defenders"?

I remember that in-game discounts influenced the gold compensation in the past.

Best regards.

Hi Zanov,

Yes, the discounts should affect the amount of gold compensation for the planes in these missions. Gold compensation usually coincides with the current price of a plane.

Give planes that player can get compensation in gold.

Reduce prices for the time of the event.

Separately each is a nice thing.

Connected, looks like a bit of cheap move,

The mission is time-consuming anyway, and losing 20% of the compensation value is a lot ...

EDITED:

I have received the full amount of gold: 1.100 gold for Ju 86E. Good job Wargaming.

I think that it can be because that planes are not to buy in-game. Awaiting british.

Sorry but in the web it says:

For the missions performance and if you already have aircraft on your account, you will be compensated with the following amount of gold:

  • 1,800zoloto_01.pngfor the Heinkel He 100 D-1
  • 1,150zoloto_01.pngfor the Henschel Hs 129 А
  • 1,100zoloto_01.pngfor the Junkers Ju 86 E

For the missions performance and if you already have aircraft on your account, you will be compensated with the following amount of gold:

  • 1,580zoloto_01.pngfor the CAC CA-12 Boomerang
  • 1,050zoloto_01.pngfor the Fairey Fantome
  • 875zoloto_01.pngfor the CAC CA-1 Wirraway

It does not say that it is compensated with the gold value of the planes, but that it puts exact amounts and that I want.

Read blindfolds answer ; discounts will effect the gold value. For example the 20% discount during the German and UK march of nations on prmiums ... which is silly, because those planes are not even for sale normally :amazed:

Why is the Heinkel 111 H-2 bomber not for sale in the premium shop? I was considering to purchase that since there's supposed to be a 20% discount on German premium aircraft as of today but I don't see it for sale. :amazed:

That's strange ... it's not a 'special' premium like the Ju-86E that doesn't appear in the shop.

And has a normal gold price. You can buy in in-game now for 1040 gold (normal price 1300).

That's fine so just a case of buy it for gold instead but still gets the 20% discount. This whole idea came about after I got that marathon Ju-86E yesterday. I'd never player bombers before and they didn't really appeal to me but omg that Ju is SO much fun! Now, it's a different kind of find, the slow and steady wins the race type of fun but fun none the less lol.

That said, maybe the Ju-86E is a bit misleading so far as bombers go? Thing about that tier3 is I was able to fly it comfortably up at around 2500 meters and it still had some left to go if needs be but for that tier it's really very high alt and untouchable for most aircraft that would attack it and I'm not sure that would be the case with the He 111? I'd be a little annoyed if I bought the Heinkel then discover that a lot more airplanes can fly high enough to slap it compaired to how relatively safe the Ju-86E is at high alt. Still, that's pretty cheap and it's a very iconic WW2 bomber which makes it really attractive for me. :great:

The Heinkel 111 is one of the best bombers for its tier in this whole game.  Won the gold for it when I came back to the game and did those intro missions (Combat Reconnaissance?), never regretted it.  It will spoil you for the rest of the German bomber line - which can be a bit of a slog - until the tier 9 and 10 wunderbeasties.  If you have to spend money on early-stage stuff, then this is the one to spend it on - IMNVHO.  It can even fare well against tier 5, if there isn't a human HF who knows what he/she is doing on the other side.

What sort of altitude have you been able to take her up too?

Hmm, not sure.  I'll give it a go and tell you - well above tier 3 heavies, certainly.

Stand by...

Or a bot ...

I don't fly bombers very often, but when I fly a B-17 or He-111 etc, most of the time there's a HF bounty hunter bot that got a 'wanted' poster from matchmaker to make my life miserable and chase me all over the map.

Sometimes I get a bit paranoid cause it always finds you, even when you switch targets ...

Leaving paranoia aside for a moment (although I AM sure they're out to get you, Goner... :amazed:), I've just lost a battle against tier 5 where my trusty He gained our team's highest score.  I have engine guru 1, only used the basic boost (not the one in the tray that only lasts 10 seconds, if you get what I mean) and went from start altitude to 2600m at 160kph.  It then cruised at 260kph, increasing to 310-ish when boost was available.  I also managed to get it to climb to 2900m, but there was no benefit against AA, just HF and the occasional tier 5 LF that fancied a go.  I have spec'd the aircraft, which I don't usually do below tier 5, and have the strengthened hardpoints, manual gunsight and engine boost all enhanced to 400+.  Strongly recommend the fast bomb-reload, and bear in mind that the "stick" size is larger than that for the Do17, ie start your bomb-drop slightly before any target except the double-size one in the centre of any plant.

Just buy it, and you'll never usually hear me recommend parting with money to WG :).

Edited to add:  thought I'd try some heavies at tier 4 to see how they matched the He111, and had the perfect opportunity when [name redacted] appeared in a specialised one on the other side.  Shot him down at 2400m, then had to go off and do other stuff.  When he reappeared, he stayed up at 2900+ and was pretty much immune - any time my heavy got into position to use the 10 second boost, his gunners damaged my engines and stopped me from reaching him.  However, it stopped him from killing every target first pass, and kept his speed down between targets, so it wasn't all in his favour.  He was very upset at being on the losing side, though, and has been popping messages in about my lack of skillz ever since that battle.  In his defence, I might've been ever-so-slightly snarky in some of my replies - I know, I know, never feed the troll.  It's fun to see the rage-bus in full motion though - sometimes.

Further edited to add: it's over 2 hours since the battle and [redacted] is STILL posting!  He's now moved on to name-calling and making accusations of dementia... OK, if Maxram68 was here he'd probably agree with [redacted] on the latter... :P.

The heavies I was trying included 110B and 110C, both of which are able to reach the same altitudes as the He111 but not sustain ops there.  Tier 5 P38 would - as [redacted] has been agreeing - offer a better chance of doing serious damage.  Train your gunners up and you should be fine.
