I'm far from impressed that the operation order for this aircraft is available only from supply crates that have to be won or purchased - and I suppose not every crate contains the order.

WG, can you clarify, is this (the Operational Order) guaranteed in supply crates, or is it random?

It is not guaranteed, but its drop chance is quite high.

As soon as Op Order is available, basically since November 19. They will be a separate article about bundles.

What will be the time limit for the operation orders for the Grumman F5F Skyrocket? Short (24h) sprint with the possibility to extend the time with tokens or gold or long (like 30 days) with the possibility to complete the missions with tokens or gold?

Op Order will be active for 48 hours since you activate it. You can extend the time for extra 48 hours using Tokens, Operation Order can be active until December 20, 2020 (15:00 CEST, UTC+1). Basically, you cannot extend its time over this date. You can skip several missions or the whole chain by purchasing certificates in the Premium Shop.

Well, nobody is forcing anyone to do anything, really.  If you feel you MUST have the aircraft, spend money.  If your life is already pretty complete and you can get by without it, don't spend money.

It's probably what they call "marketing" - for which there are differing levels of immunity.

Not necessary if you have time and tokens. Last time was 2 tokens for 48 extra hours if I remember correct. So 6 days playing will cost you 4 tokens. Accomplishing 2 to 3 missions every day will finish the 15 missions in 6 days. (10 days 8 tokens and so on)

The last plane missions (USSR and German heavies) were the same way. The mission chain was long and pretty hard, but possible to complete for 1-2 weeks (14 tokens are not that much).

Some of the missions are likely to be things like "kill 5 planes in one game with your rear turret" in order to force most people to buy certificates; that's my guess.

So in reading all of your comments it looks that for non experienced player like me this event is a free to pay and not free to play.

Believe me, tasks like "kill 5 planes in one game with your rear turret" is truly goddamn awful no matter how much experience you have...

Let's hope they will be merciful. After all, it's only a tier 5.

Yes, Arsender is also a tier 5 but with unlimited time so they stuffed requirements with all the medals there are, plus "kill 5 with rear turret" and whatnot - but the time is unlimited. This has to be easier.

It is like any other product advertisement on TV. The product range has to be as limited as possible and an artificial time limit is set. Then the product must arouse an urgent need to buy among as many people as possible.
If you can resist these buying attempts, grind the P-38 Lightning. The Lightning is much better than the F5F and is only slightly weaker in maneuverability.
If you can't resist and have also switched to the "dark side of the Force", buy tokens to extend the time or certificates to avoid mission tasks.

edit:

at last you can wait a few weeks until it is offered in the premium-shop ...
