Why do you think its full of quitters at start of every battle? Because people play for rewards not for the horrible event. A thing devs of every game will never learn. People will not waste time finishing battle when they cant/fail their objectives.
Ya after the first time I spawned on the attacking team for the second set of HF mission and realized there was zero chance of making any inroads into that set of mission parameters I just left and did so for the other few occasions I spawned on the attacking team during that mission but I was lucky tbh and generally spawned on the defending team. This event has a time limit, and so do I. With the time available for me to play this game I'm not pandering to stupidity which was what that mission is and I make no apology for it either. There's no way I'm rinse and repeating some 15+ minute waste of my time over and over again.
I'll get mentally drained from playing very repetitious missions at some point obviously so before that happens I'll look to make inroads into this event and get what I can out of it, as should all players. Now you might say "Well I can't when some **** on my team keeps leaving at the start of the battle!" but I would strongly disagree with that since the one good thing about this event is that there is no requirement in winning and so it doesn't matter a damn what happens in the battle so long as a player focuses on their mission parameters. When I was playing a bomber or a GA, it didn't matter if 2 or 3 HFs shagged off at the start in fact I didn't even check or care. I had a set of mission requirements and I still did those so it didn't bother me at all. Same when I played fighters and MR's, I could still kill the required classes and still have a go at getting 2nd grade etc. So no, I make no apologies about leaving and see it as the logical thing to do.
