GonerNL's Photo GonerNL 16 Feb 2021

The developers are not interested in new trees, that has been said many times ...

Engelse uitdrukking :

This is on my wish list, but don't hold your breath
Dat staat wel op mijn verlanglijstje, maar reken er voorlopig niet op.

Ok, I understand you. Maybe later on they will be interested...

That also gives me some time to expand the bomber and the heavy fighter tree.

The Netherlands has always been a great naval power, it was indestructable and it managed to defeat the British/French fleet multiple times (Battle of Texel/Raid of Medway). So wouldn't it be fun to heve a Dutch NAVAL subtree for planes which could land on water (which only can be played on naval maps off course).

characteristics:

-Slow

-Not very agile at high tiers

-Weak gun aramament

-Strong bomb armament

-Less damage taken when touching the water (if you crash your still dead but if you just touch it with your landing gear it doesn't take damage at all)

-High number of hitpoints (to reduce the shortcomings)

Planes are naval planes when:

-They have landing gear that make the plane able to land on the water

-Is a bomber (inclusive light bombers like the Fokker T.IIIw)

1: Fokker T.IIIw
2: Fokker T.VIIIw
3: Fokker T.IVa
4: Aviolanda Do.24K-2 (Dornier)

Bombs: 800 kg bombs or 1 × torpedo

Maximum Speed: 260 km/h

Sign for Naval planes (like a ground-attackers has a triangle): ⮝ (the top means the plane and the two small triangles at the bottom are the two navallandinggearstuff a naval plane has)

(My design)

I think the tree is finished now, so I wanna hear your opinion.

If you know some useful information please react

Note: Maybe it seems that the armament of the Dutch planes lacks on everything, but it's just like the Japanese tree. Dutch planes were very, very agile.

Burgwal & Plesman only shot down V1's afaik.
Did v1's count as regular aerial victories?

I dont know, but it was dangerous job to shoot down V1 rockets, because you needed to tip their wings and disorder their flying path.

I have been dreaming of an Italian light fighter tree for a long time now. New tree's would be super cool to have. Unfortunately it's never going to happen.

All we can hope for is the odd new plane (which will clearly be premium) here and there.

Great tree suggestions, but like GonerNL says....

For me there are already glaring tree holes all over that I assume they've got no intention of filling, the maddest one of which must be not having the Handley Page Hampden available to play even though it's in the in-game bomber flights already.

I would be astounded if they wanted to put the work into an entirely new tree when the profit is in the paper plane specials.  But I really don't get the thought process - surely they understand that much of their committed player base are slightly obsessive big kids who spent far too long as small kids building Airfix kits and running round the school yard with arms out shouting "tak-a-tak-a-tak"?  I didn't gel with the game-play but I thought the War Thunder tech trees were much more interesting.
