nice!
Jeez guys, you're still following contemporary. Much kudos for that! (and this African beat desert blues is fantastic, btw) I jumped off that boat a long time ago, only perk up when something like this appear out of the blue.

So much good music, the ruts jah war brought back memories, you know there were a ska/reggea band kallted ruts as well, decent one too, I bought their LP by mistake and it instantly became my favourite that month, lol. the specials (better than madness imho) oh yes. My friends were punks but I always was new wave.
Why not some of germans??
I tend to play classical music, dunno if its my tinnitus or what but if I tend to get hung up in lyrics if theres any, I lose focus and get tired. Lately, as many old people, I have started to listen to covers of classic rock ballads
.
Its actually perfect when I need to get going
.
I like to play music without, or with lyrics I dont understand, so I dont need my brain to translate and understand, like Disco I also like Tinariwen, singing in arabic(?).
Just a digression if you allow, me and my uncle (he was 65 then) planned to attend the consert in the desert to listen to them (its in Mali) but ISIS pretty mutch ruined that the same year. I cant understand anything of the lyrics, so I just flow with the sound (I've been on 3 concerts with them so, yea). Classics are Grieg (surprise) Vivaldi, Rolling Stones (esp paint it black), and if you ever did see acopalypse now, you know.

I'm not a fan of the Cure but I do love this song
"May cause the explode problem"
There is no comparison. The Specials all the way
Although both were ska wave at the same time and I liked and listened both, Madness were a pop band with catchy tunes and fun and all... while the Specials were a thinking-man's band, much more meaningful songs, honest messages, the agenda. Serious stuff, not bubble gummy one bit. That crazy Jerry Dammers was/is a mad genius. And the band rocked like hell. Brilliant.

As this is about music we play when we are gaming, not what we normally play, I like to share this as well:
I think I shared this before, but its awesome as background music when top tier heavy fighter:
Oh all music helps gameplay
if you really want to dominate when playing and completely lay waste to all that are unfortunate enough to tangle with you then there is one tune so powerful I rarely bring it out of my arsenal
The soundtrack to predator
I need a hotkey for this tune for when Disco goes into revenge mode
Try it and tell me it doesn't work!
"May cause the explode problem"
And for bombing I tend to play more sedate music
I also like the idea of reigning hell on targets below with ironic music playing
Also this for high altitude
So copied by so many I finally found out who was the original artist
There's no such thing as genre of music the only genre is whether its good or not
"May cause the explode problem"
Im out of quotas, lol.
Im norwegian, in Norway we are 2 peoples (some times),sami and norwegians, but unfortunately I cant speak Sami. Some of my friends are sami people, and I love sami music. One young girl made a tune I often listen to when playing a strategic game lately (if that counts).

I'm outa quota's too we need 100 a day
"May cause the explode problem"
Well, talking of bugs...
Technically, this is Baroque rather than Classical music, but the sheer joy of J.S. Bach's 'fugue à la gigue' is irresistible.
For when the game goes into a black hole and you're left staring at a blank screen...
I concur with the view that The Specials were more important than Madness back in the day, but in 2009 the latter surprised us all with a really good album, 'The Liberty Of Norton Folgate'.
And in celebration of things Norwegian...

This song helps when you are on a losing streak
This song has been ripped off by so many and sampled to death, but the original is still the best
Check out the drumming at the end of this song by Ronnie Foster it just leaves you wanting more

"May cause the explode problem"
Because that's my job.
Funky, funky, funky...
Not so funky, but something wonderful from the, these days, overlooked wife of John Coltrane.
