Yes seal clubbing is a thing in this game. No, it's not nearly as bad as in WoT. Not even close. You can have a top notch plane in period 1 in just tens of battles. So it's mostly clubbing by player experience, not as much pay to win or special plane, with few exceptions.

About the daily missions for all periods it's frequently discussed on the forums, but since the game is not actively developed there isn't progress on it. 

IMO solution for dailies is simple. Make every period to be doable in any other at 1/2 or even 1/3 the pace. For example a 20k XP mission for period 1 could be finished in period 3 aircraft for 40k XP. And vice versa.

This way anyone can play their preferred period or combination of them, which is great combo for daily multipliers. This would allow new players to complete fully daily missions too..

I personally fly any period 1 dailies in my tier 2-4 premium planes depending on class requirements. Some of which are kind of crap. In my experience the worst seal clubbing is in tier 4. Further up the tiers you're supposed to be a bit more experienced anyway.
