Frantiszek - minus in-game credits

What WG could do without needing to rewrite the whole game client to 64bit architecture is to have a special consumable that players could buy and sell for the same price. Say, a credit token worth 1 million credits, that you can re-sell for the same 1 million credits. So you could convert your credits into tokens, to bring your overall credits under the limit imposed by 32bit game client, and sell them later if you ever start running out of money.

In some way, that option is already available in the game when consumables are at discount, whatever you buy during discount, you can sell later for the same price. And that's a solution for Frantiszek, he should spend most of the credits on consumables and use them as a "bank" if he needs credits.

The only problem is...if Frantiszek already have 2,147,483,647 of each consumable :)

I'm afraid that the only possible solution will be withdrawing some credits with extra compensation provided.

Then you want to rob me more ;-)

There you go, I guess it's satisfying (and solved). Interesting topic, I must say.

347 million credits were gone, but I had nothing to do with them. Now just make sure not to exceed 2 billion and it will be OK. P.S. Do you remember Apart when we used to talk about how many credits you can get? I did not believe that such a fairy tale would arise, and you had a feeling :honoring:

P.S. Pamiętasz Apart jak kiedyś rozmawialiśmy na temat ile można uzbierać kredytów? Nie wierzyłem w to, że powstanie taki bład, a Ty coś przeczuwałeś :honoring:

I'd say you got pretty good bang for your buck there. Glad to see you got compensated for the inconvenience.

I can't say that getting 10 supply crates for 347 million credits is much in the way of compensation, unless I've missed something in the above..  Also, there are several people in the game with vast amounts of credits and not much to spend them upon.  Even I, who only started with version 2 of the game, have 855 million and that number is only going to grow.  More and more of us are going to encounter the INT data type limitation for credits as time passes.  What is going to be done about it?

I am renewing my programming knockledge (C++) and today I have learned about the int variable and the limitation of the value range.

Quite interessting to find a practical case just in the beginning of my learn units.

What can be done?

Declare a new credit variable with long long int (-9.223.372.036.854 to +9.223.372.036.854) instead of the used int or long int (-2.147.483.648 to + 2.147.483.648).

But you need to replace the new credit variable in every single related programm term. That is going to be a lot of work and provides quite a lot of error possibilities.

So, I would say, be aware of the problem and contact the support for the "Frantiszek_Solution" if you exceed the limit. Or buy some consumables (but less than 2.147.483.648 per type, please :P)

Crates have a chance to drop (and indeed did) gold - you are exchanging silver for gold, bluntly speaking. The rate of exchange is irrelevant, as it is not possible to do it any other way. In this way I'd think it was a fair compensation, even if it was several millions of credits for a hundred gold. To avoid running into this issue one just has to make bulk purchases from time to time, or buy cammo for several months. As there is no practical value of hoarding 2B+ credits (they will be spent on ammo/consumables/cammos anyway), I perceive this a minor thing, even though I'm closer to that limit than you are :)

I just spent 1 billion 252 million credits to buy equipment - about 10,000 each that I use .... Better like that than blocking the account again.
