Ï got the Boomerang camo and it only gives 20% crew, no 5% plane exp.
The shop says

These decorations will help you dress up your aircraft in style as well as boost bonus characteristics (aircraft experience: +5% and crew experience: +20%).

Now what is the real bonus for these camos? Can anyone clearify that so we can decide if we buy these bundles or not?

This is very badly written, or translated, because I have the A-26B camouflage and I know that gives only 20% crew experience as a bonus.  My guess is that some of the camouflages give the 5% aircraft experience and some the 20% crew experience, but none give both.

WG wins, my completist streak was triggered.  As listed in game:

Ao 192 - 20% crew experience

Blenheim Mk. IV - 20% crew experience

LaGG-3 (4) - 20% crew experience

Bf 110 C-6 - 20% crew experience

Boomerang - 20% crew experience

A6M3 Zero - 20% crew experience

Me 209 V4 - 20% crew experience

A-26B Invader - 20% crew experience

La-11 - 5% aircraft experience

RB-17 - 20% crew experience

So, as is so often the case with WG products, caveat emptor.

@Blindfold: in my opinion the English text is misleading.  I think all English speakers would believe the camouflages offer both bonuses, when in fact 9 of them offer just 20% crew experience and 1 offers 5% aircraft experience.  May I suggest strongly the wording is changed so it is clear what is on offer?

Those of you who have bought bundles believing the camouflages offered both bonuses may want to raise tickets with WG support complaining if you feel you have been misled.

There's really nothing to complain about but don't let that stop you complaining as usual.

Each bundle for a single camo scheme comes with 1000 gold and costs the almost the exact same amount of money as 1000 gold. So basically it's like purchasing 1000 gold and pick a camo of your choice for free.

Or for decent savings and value, there's a package for 10k gold including all the featured camos for €26.84. Normally 10k gold just by itself without anything else costs €35.79 so with this package a player is saving around €9 which is a significant saving when we're only dealing with €35.69 to begin with, and it comes with all the camo schemes too for free if you want to look at it that way.

I gave it a like because it's another harmless way for WG to generate some cash without adding broken or over powered premium aircraft and personally I have a soft spot for camo's and the aesthetic aspect of games. There's also cheap single camo purchase options too and not forcing a full package only. It should have also pacified cry babies issues with "gambling" boxes too since no such bs included in these deals but... you know how he is. Neverhappy.com

That's really nice. I would think about it for the Ao 192 - if I would know how the camo looks.

The text has been improved on the news article.  However, the text on the shop bundle itself remains misleading.

Ah yes, in english its good now, but in german its still misleading, saying 5% aircraft experience AND 20% crew experience. @blindfold: This should be fixed, too, as the description in the premium shop. (btw this is not wining, this is just telling wg that there package description is not correct, a thing that should not be when ppl pay for it with real money, so they have a right to be informed correctly before there purchase what they are getting).

The packages itself are fair, as said above, given the fact that you get the camos on top when buying the gold.

The paint scheme for the Lavochkin La-11 – aircraft experience +5%, all the other paint schemes – crew experience +20%. Each paint sceme bonus is mentioned in its bundle (the A6M3 for example and the La-11  )

We also added this information to the article in English (the articles on other languages will be fixed as soon as we receive translation) and we'll fix the description for the Beastly Camo Bundle. Apologies for a misleading line :honoring:

@blindfold

I absolutely like the general concept of these paint schemes; still, I'd like to see WG selling new historical schemes, with same bonuses.

I, for one, would absolutely buy - just an example  - some Italian camos on a Bf109. Or on a P-38. While WG art dept. is very good, and these tiger strips look cool, I feel like the playerbase would be happy having more historical accuracy for planes.

Obv, just my 2 cents.

Absolutely. I am thankful that wowp hasn't followed wows and wot in adding strange anime content, ponies, transformers and other strange unrelated stuff to game.

I would shell out cold cash for historical content. Historical camo, special hangar themes, unique pilots (historical is even better) and whatever quality stuff they create.

Is it worth getting the Bristol blenheim mkIV (early mod) paint scheme to train pilots for uk heavies?

I forgot i even had one stuck down at T3 all on its lonesome gathering dust.

Edit: No i'll pass,

I'm not running a T3 bomber daily just to train pilot and gunner for a beaufighter i already have trained crew for.

WG are you going to implement more uk bombers looking forward?

Wait, no, don't, no more bombers!

The blenheim can rot at back of my hangar.

The Godzilla-Kong stuff in wows really was an all time-low, if you ask me...

Not every change or new content in game is for the better; sometimes I am glad that wowp moves at a slow pace in this regard. Still, honestly, I am a little baffled by the fact that WG doesn't seem to realize that a great part of wowp players is attracted by having realism re: paint schemes, pilots, hangars as you said...

Since they correctly assumed we'd bought camos separately, why not adopting historical ones then, instead of tiger strips ? You'd have endless possibilities of customizing planes while being respectful of historical accuracy,  and you'd get the attention of the aviation enthusiasts who play the game.
