When you buy back a plane you sold, does it still have the previous XP applied?

o7, all.. If you buy back a plane that you previously sold, does it still have the previous aircraft XP that you had for the aircraft re-applied to it? Logically, it should do, but what about in fact? TY!

Yes it does.

Just one thing to be aware of.

If you're grinding through an aircraft to get to the next tier, DO NOT SELL that aircraft before you first physically click the button to unlock the next tier aircraft or else you'll have to buy it back again.

And yes, guilty as charged on several occasions. :D

But I think you lose any specialisation status or any progress towards specialisation(?)

(Although I am not 100% certain about that and if anyone knows different, please correct me - I am not going to test it!)

You do lose progress towards specialisation if you sell a plane, however if you sell a plane in specialist configuration (the quest is done and you've bought the specialist status) it'll remain after you buy that plane back.

People sell planes?  I just kept them all. :)

That's because I'm an idiot.

I did sell planes right at the start when I was short on gold, tokens and hangar slots. But at a point I kept everything. Now on 248 planes.

Same, and when specialisation came along i just couldn't handle the thought of re-purchasing everything and took a prolonged timeout for about 4 years.

This time around i'm keeping everything Tier 4, 7, 8,9 and 10 across the board along with whatever premiums collected through the years.

If they decide to implement further super specialisations i will stick with what ive got until i can tap up TheNobleQ for a few hundred million coinage.

I'm thinking of selling a few planes that I don't enjoy, because they will give me some silver and free up hangar space. This game doesn't give you any bonus for the number of planes you own, does it?

No bonus for owning lots of planes but it’s worth keeping a selection of types in each period to make sure you can do the token missions

Further to that, some may think to acquire all the planes because it's in their nature to collect things.  Be warned; newer players will be unable to collect all the planes in the game because the Spitfire Vb IM (not the plain old 'Spitfire Vb') will not be made available again, short of a new licensing deal being signed with Bruce Dickinson/Iron Maiden.  Those that acquired this plane retain it in their hangar - for now.

That's sad news but i don't feel so much like it's bad news so long as the vb stays put.
