Probably a silly question, but how do I specialize a specific plane? It says I have to complete a special mission... but where do I find the mission details? Yes, there was a popup window stating the mission when I first achieved elite status for the plane, but isn't there a way of seeing the mission after that event? Many thanks...

When you have researched all the top modules on a plane it acquires "elite" status.  Any further play automatically advances you on the next grind, the so-called "specialisation" mission.  You can see your progress in the hangar on the right above the aircraft details.  There's a progress bar.  If you hover over that, you'll see details of what you have to do and how far you've got.

Specialisation involves completing two different tasks, a primary and and a secondary one.  If you have them, you can spend tokens - a lot of them - to complete either task, or both of them.

Something to remember once you've elited a plane and are specializing ; te moment you have researched the next tier plane(s), immediately put a checkmark in 'accelerate crew training' ... otherwise you keep accumulating free exp.

A couple of additional notes

Completing 50% of the primary task and/or completing the secondary task reduces the number of tokens required to specialise the aircraft (up to 50% reduction)

I've never paid the full token price but I've resorted to spending 50% tokens for some of my high tier bombers (and a couple of others)

The number of battles required to achieve specialisation is not balanced, especially at high tiers: I needed 25-30 battles to specialise my Tier 10 heavies but it would have taken me over 100 to specialise a T10 bomber (and a damn good thing too, I hear you say!)
