Not 'Enlish', should be 'British'.

But besides that, yes the British Spitfire FTW.

Although it depends on what you base 'best' on. For example the IL2 obviously has better armour.

I voted too, for ME262 of course and "other":
The Horten H IX (or so called "229") and the P-38 Lightning
would be great to see here.

I think all planes that were made are "best" in their way. Because many engineers spent so much time and effort to make those masterpieces "alive", they all deserve to be best  :Smile_honoring:

My personal favorite is La 7 + 3*BS20. There are not other serial produced plane with such precision and firepower combined all in one.

Spitfire.

Excellent performance, hard hitting armament, and very adaptable. Aesthetically speaking, probably the best of the lot.  :Smile_honoring:

The Stuka is great due to its effect on morale.

There are not best planes. Personally I prefer La5/7, but this definitively do not mean that it is best plane. Just it is my favorite.

P47 Jug, I mean seriously WTF why the FUUU is the JUG not in the tech tree,
my favourite plane of all time-excellent dogfighter, excellent Ground attack, not so good at escorting because of the hungry P&W R2800

Although I already replied and said the Spitfire, if I wasn't biased based on nationality I'd say the FW-190D.

I'm really suprised that the FW190 didn't make it in game with instead getting three ME 109s. Although maybe we'll get the 190 when we get Spitfires ;)

Due strong armament, reasonable good maneuverability and excellent (for fighter) armor, maybe developers decided not to include this plane because most of the people would call it OP. There are few light fighters armed with 4 cannons. I will be surprised if any of them take place in the game, at least in first stages.

Stop making assumptions based on the current tree people. The developers will definately add more planes, nothing is stopping them from having (for example) a seperate messerschmitt tree and a seperate focke-wulf tree.

<3 to shnbwmn for the signature ;)

It's impossible to say what was best, but I think Focke-Wulf Ta 152 wasn't bad at all, definitely among the best planes during the war. Other one, which hasn't been mentioned yet, is Kawasaki Ki-100. Maybe Hawker Sea Fury could be mentioned too, because the development begun during the war, even though it entered the service not until the war was already over.
